The reality is very few actually want unity.

Sure, they may claim they do, but those on the right don't want it. Nor do those on the left. They just want things their way. And they don't give a flying crap about anyone who doesn't view things their way. There's a very small group that falls in the middle that truly wants unity, and have wanted unity regardless of who's in office, and they're the real losers in all of this.

And that's the sad reality of society today.

This seems to be the prevailing sentiment that has now become the norm in both camps. It's a vicious cycle when people become vengeful, but I guess we'll choose our side and stand our ground.

I'm not vengeful. And if I were, I would have directed it at people much closer to me. But I will not sacrifice my principles. I can be persuaded to compromise, if there is logic and reason and viable alternatives offered in the argument. I don't see that. I see and hear people playing loose with people's lives. And some of the lives those people are playing with are family members. And I see real fear and uncertainty in them. And between Gov Bevin and President Elect Trump, the next 3-4 years is looking pretty scary to poor Kentuckians, especially the elderly. I hope you can understand where I come from. And I was raised differently, I guess. Not saying it was right or that anyone else was raised wrong. But I am not going to stop caring about what happens to other people just because it costs me more.

For those who are against Trump's immigration stance, how do you feel about Obama ending the "wet foot/dry foot" policy with regards to Cuba and the fact that we are now to send them back with out regard for their treatment by the Cuban government once returned.

When I listen to Trump on immigration the promise as I understood it was to deal with the illegals that committed crimes or in drug gangs at the start of his term. The illegals that are law abiding a plan would be presented on how to handle them later.

I do not see a change from this position.

This was legit the biggest political slap in the closing days of office in the last 100 years.

He seems to be on a record pace at breaking promises before he gets in office.
