The ultimate irony would be stalling by the cons, a razor-thin Democratic presidential victory, a razor-thin Democratic Senate majority, and ultimately, a more liberal Supreme Court justice than would have originally been vetted and approved.

Won't matter if you vote in KY.

Exactly. You are far better off voting 3rd party in Kentucky if you want your vote to "matter". If you don't believe me, check this out.

First Look: Can Democrats Win the Senate in 2016? - Rothenblog

Just 5 seats needed to swing control to the democrat side with 24 contested races. We could very easily see a democratic senate and president this fall.

You put way too much stock in what Kentuckians think. My people voted for a guy that promised to destroy their healthcare , but to uphold the right to stand with Kim Davis.
(Just stand with her...can't change anything...still have to issue gay marriages...but we can stand with her...publicly...).

Sometimes we holistically are pretty dumb.

I will urge my "already"elected officials guys and there is a ton of others that feel the same way. Kentucky may not matter but the votes sure mattered in the Governors race didnt it? Hellcats you are a sore loser and I pray to God you are going to be another sore loser come the Presidents election.

Like I said if any of you think our country is headed in the right direction you are nuts. Look at our country, we are so divided its unreal. Lines have been drawn by both sides. This is not going to end well for our country and that is a fact and its getting worse. What about this do you all not see or understand?

Why do you think a guy like Trump has so much support? People are tired and will do whatever to change this.

    Gotcha.

Sounds like you've been studying at the Kim Davis School of Law and getting straight A's

For the record, I am all for following the Constitution. It is the POTUS job to nominate SCOTUS Justices. Obama is the POTUS so he gets to nominate.

What I am pointing out is that the Lefties on here screaming about what McConnell has threatened to do has come from their side of the aisle in the past. As another poster pointed out, the Lefties have not give one iota about following the Constitution when it came to Obama and his executive orders that were over reaching his power, as confirmed by the SCOTUS, unanimously, on a dozen occasions.

Sen. Amy Klobuchar, D-Minn., is getting some buzz as a compromise choice.

I do see, and I understand that you are part of the divisional problem of which you speak.

Respecting the constitutional process means to approach it in a non partisan way and I don't see evidence that you, or your pals in Washington come near understanding or promoting that but rather are disgracefully doing the complete opposite.

You are correct, party politics are destroying this country indeed and you can't be screaming from one complete extreme side that the fault of our divided country is the other complete extreme side.

Are you part of the problem, or part of the solution?

Up till the past few years I was part of wanting a solution but I see no way in sight.

Now it appears I am going to be a part of the problem according to you because I am going to do exactly as I said above and urge others to do so. We are headed down a road that will destroy our country to the point that it will not recover if the current path its on is not changed. You can believe that or not, but does not change the truth thats there. Just makes you blind.

Pretty simple...promoting division will not correct division.

I agree. Is your stance that only Republicans are promoting division?
