My fellow conservatives.

Page 2 of I learned today through a POTUS tweet that the Washington Post is owned by Jeff Bezos. This is the same fellow who owns Amazon. I don't know about you,... 40 comments | 1363 Views | Go to page 1 →

Of course it is. That's exactly what people said when he bought the Post.

Do you honestly believe that Jeff Bezos actually calls the Washington Post everyday and tells them to go after your President? Seriously?

Jeff is a real business man ... he doesn't sit around and watch Fox News all morning. If what this President was doing so many great things for business and growing the economy ... I can assure you that Jeff is doing what he has always done on a day to day business ... you know .. actually running a business as opposed to selling his name?

As I said last week ... the only thing scarier than the President is the people that support him and the lengths that they will go to distribute his lies and fake news.

One thing that you guys seem to never understand (and this is why it is scary) is that if your President would quit running his mouth and insulting people, lying every single day ... then there would be no news!! No rocket science there at all!!

    Oh ... that's right ... fake news!
Better idea would be to purchase news organizations so you can determine what is news worthy!

When the President quits lying every single day ... quits insulting hard working Americans everyday and quits being an absolute tyrant ... and the news media still writes about him ... you have my word ... I will come on to this board and apologize and write a nice poem about how wrong I was/am/will be in the future.

Please feel free to hold me to that.

Hold up ... so NOW ... American business persons shouldn't buy businesses which help GROW our economy?

Isn't that the platform that your President said he was all for?

Are you seriously complaining about an American shelling out his money to buy an American business? Really? Seriously?

So let me get this straight ... you can now officially only be a republican to buy the Washington Post. Starting to sound a little fishy to me.

There are a lot of "not so great" people who do good for this country by buying companies which keep this economy going (for instance: Donald "I constantly file bankrupcy on American banks now they won't lend me money" Trump) ... should they quit doing that?

Isn't that what will "Make America Great Again"? (Pretty sure that anyone that campaigned on this premise is clueless ... because America has been/is/and will always be great ... yet you guys support someone who continues to act like it isn't.

So it is wrong to protest/boycott Bezo's companies for his political beliefs?

I had to fact check to see if Post ownership was late breaking news to Trump too. *Whew!* Troubled to see such petulance continue on social media.

Donald Trump Attacks Amazon, Washington Post and Jeff Bezos | Fortune.com

People across the the political continuum will continue to value the best prices and services. Boycotts are historically ineffective against giants such as Amazon. Walmart still thrives.

The not so veiled threats of retribution via the tax angle I read in the Fortune article? Pot v. Kettle? The anti-trust threat?

News organizations in America have had a for profit agenda, from the times of Franklin. To think otherwise is naive or disingenuous. Better to complain about it than accomplish much of substance.

I've got a mental Venn diagram, where terms like - civil discourse, free press, zero-sum, retribution, and dying (really?) intersect, or don't. Ugliness.

Absolutely not. Unenlightened self-interest is an option for all of us.

Yes, but a certain plethora of abrasive, tactless, classless, thick headed loud mouths made up for it endlessly on social media, and in the line at the grocery store, or Walmart.

Actually, the MSM (though I wish they didn't) is giving The Donald exactly what he so much desperately needs and wants because of his childish megalomaniac attention grabbing ego.

It's what helped to put him into office, and any news about him, good or bad is fine with him just as long as he gets to hear his name on a daily basis.

You can be for certain his daily tweets are to make for certain of this. If the news ever went silent about him, dollars to donuts he'd push hard with something outrageous to make sure his name was out there yet again.

I never liked the smarmy idiot years ago, and avoided watching him anytime the paparazzi discussed him. I'd just love for him to go away never to be heard of again, but I won't be holding my breath because the public eye is what this freak fiends off of, and we'll be sure to watch this cranky old nutjob keep seeking attention long after his wife has had enough and left him.

I thought our former first lady said she'd never been proud of America until we elected her husband president, how great are we really if the former FLOTUS could have never been proud of the country?

Hold on a minute ... did you really just judge the greatness of this country based on what Hillary Clinton said? I may be a Democrat ... but lets call it what it is ... one of the dumber things she has ever said (I trust you that she said it ... even though I have never seen it).

The only thing worse is that you are willing to come onto the internet and act like that is some kind of talking point against Democrats.

Here is how it is really done: one of the reasons why America is great ... is the way that GW Bush rallied this country together after 9/11. See there? I am not even a freaking republican ... and I can come up with something that speaks to our greatness ... led by a politician from a different party. I didn't need to dwell on the negative to do it either. (Which is another reason why America is great!)

Is that really all Republicans have left? If that is truly what you think ... and more importantly .. you are willing to put that on the internet to be preserved for eternity ... good grief the right has completely lost all perception of reality.

I have never seen a group of people who refuse to address the reality of today more than the group of people who support this President.

    Hillary?

You mean the former first lady that lost the election?
The ones that republicans bring up whenever they can't explain why their President constantly lies and insults people (including members of his own party and cabinet?).

Here is a hint ... you WON!
It's time that republicans quit whining about the person that they beat .. and get something done.
But most importantly ... it is time that republicans hold their President up to the same standard that they hold the LOSER of the election to.

I think it is time that anyone who supports this President ... looks up the word accountability. You WON the election ... yet you continue to talk about the loser. More fake news to distract America from the fact that Republicans are complete hypocrites.
