Default Let's use this right carefully out there

    News from The Associated Press

"An Oregon man who stripped nude at Portland's airport security to protest what he saw as invasive measures was found not guilty of indecent exposure.

Multnomah County Circuit Court Judge David Rees ruled Wednesday that John Brennan's act was one of protest and therefore, protected speech."

Couldn't this be classified as "unprotected" speech as well??

Glad I didn't see it but I applaud the guy. Sometimes you just can't take it anymore.

So if an whole plane load of people decided to exercise their 1st Amendment rights at a TSA checkpoint would that give new meaning to the term 'flash mob'?

Personally I find this hilarious, and agree with the judge.

But seriously, all of this because the guy didn't want to go through a scanner. Had he gone through the scanner none of this would have happened. He chose the body search, not the TSA agent. It's not the agent's fault there were nitrates on the guys clothes.

Mrs C flys on average 44 weeks a year for her job. I fly once a month or so. Never once has either of us felt violated. These are people doing, for the most part, a thankless job to the best of their ability. They don't make a lot of money, and most of us would never do their job. Their sole purpose for being there is to try to ensure your safety. When you go through security: be prepared, follow protocol, and be polite. It's that simple.

I would love to see some of the people here go through security in some of the foriegn countries where security really is tight.
