Maybe not locked, but a huge step in that direction.

As someone that is probably going to be voting for Rubio, I should be happy with the results from Iowa, right? I'm a little confused how their caucus works and it's the first time I've really paid that much attention to everything this far out from November.

    Anyone?
I think I saw someone mention that Santorum won Iowa in 2012.

Now that the "establishment" sees him as viable (which I think they already did, but) I expect them to turn up the heat on the likes of Fiorina, Huckabee, Santorum, Christie, Bush, Kasich, Carson, etc. to not only end their campaigns, but to throw their support behind Rubio. The big money people on the right are going to be flooding Rubio's campaign with whatever he needs to win the nomination.

If Kasich finishes third in New Hampshire (as the polls are indicating), does that lock it up for him?

Agreed. Just saying its still early.

Rubio should be elated by his strong finish in Iowa that put him almost past Trump into second place. I and many others have been saying since the fall that Rubio is the man the Republicans need to nominate and the man all Democrats should (and do) fear.

But if Rubio, Trump, or Cruz win the nomination overall, I think they should pick Kasich as a VP running mate. IT may ensure Ohio for the republicans.

    Agreed.

My reasoning is he polled much better than anyone anticipated and he barely made an effort in Iowa compared to guys like Trump and Cruz. I think he finishes 2nd or 3rd in New Hampshire next week as well. After that I anticipate quite a few guys to drop out and then he'll begin his surge. JMO.

If a 74 year old Socialist is putting up this kind of fight against the Clinton machine, are the Democrats getting worried about Hillary's electability?

I wonder if Biden is second guessing his decision to not enter the race.

The lefties must not be out of bed yet. I'm interested in their takes on the results.
