Fantasy Sports Forum

Lets give some input on this idea. I mean would you want to have our own leagues develope in the forum or possibly make a sub site for fantasy sports for BGP members only. Also would you be interested in giving prizes if we did the subsite such as BGP items or just sheer bragging rights until next season of that particular sport. You could also have levels of play, beginner, intermidiate, competitive, and you dont stand a chance, we are that good.

Well, there's definitely money to be made there. Another reason to draw more members to BGP...

I like it except when it is not football season we will have limited interest in that forum.

I said Fantasy Sports Forum, not just football. But baseball, basketball, golf, nascar. Always some interest.

I dont think its necessary. I feel the reason there are so many fantasy threads is b/c everybody is going through the pro sports thread and seeing it all. I dont think people would go into it that often if it was a separate forum.

But if there was a forum dont you think they would just click on it and do the same amount if not more conversating in it?

I am kind of in between on it really. I'm not sure how it would work out. There were just some changes made to the site with a lot of that stuff and if it was a major priority I think it would have been put into the mix.

I can see how for Mods it may actually make it easier, b/c it wouldnt clutter up the Pro forum with a bunch of fantasy threads. I just have to wonder about the traffic through both of them by being apart. Also have to wonder if all the fantasy forum's would actually make it in there. Some people would still put them in the pro forum. Tough call.

Fantasy sports have seriously picked up here recently, I mean we got it for everything. Hockey, Golf, NCAA Tourney, MLB, NFL, Nascar, NBA, and this list goes on.

I really don't think it was considered as strongly as it should have been when the site went through the recent changes just purely due to timing.

On a side note - see you at the Alumni Tourney???

Sometimes you have to take a chance, like we did with the outdoors forum and seperating the college sports, could work and could not.

We actually tried this idea. There wasn't enough interest to justify keeping the forum active. Another reason was it actually took away from the forums that involved the certain fantasy sport.
