Trinity High School to Alcohol/Drug Test Students

Trinity High to begin random drug testing

Obviously, as a private institution it is well within their rights to do this. But maybe issues like this should be left up to the guardians of the kids? Thoughts?

I don't have any issue with it. I think all high schools should do it.

Damn. No trouble at all for the first positive test. Dismissal from school for the second positive test.

I love my alma mater and always will but... something about this just doesn't sit right with me.

There are public schools that do this as well.

Will this serve to increase or decrease interest in Trinity? I say increase.

I have to agree. Obviously private schools can pretty much make their own rules, but I don't think it is right.

Depends on if the discipline is upheld fairly.

I won't lie... this is part of what makes me worry.

I think all schools should. Drug abuse starts early. Anything to curb it is good. I think dismissal compounds the kids problems. I think some sort of counseling or rehab is in order. No school, no education, no hope.
