I'm intrigued to see just how involved Richwalsky was in the prosecution. The answers as to why a plea agreement was made without her or her parent's consent may be held by Richwalsky's involvement.

However, I don't understand how a plea agreement was reached without her, or her parent's consent. I am also concerned for the implications of this action with regard to future cases. If, for instance, a case arises in which the alleged rapist is in fact innocent, and the alleged victim takes action like this, where is the justice for the defendant? There are times that a boy/man have been accused falsely for reasons such as revenge.
Very good concerns. Life is never black and white, is it? I would think that someone making false accusations would not risk jail herself to pursue a vendetta but you never know.

I pray, pray, pray he was uber-cautious in his involvement in the handling of the case. As a Trinity supporter, I will be terribly, TERRIBLY disappointed if he used his position to make a favorable situation for the boys.

Paul W. Richwalsky, Jr. apparently assigned himself to the case. It is currently unknown if he was the lead prosecutor. He is a 1967 graduate of Trinity and sits on the alumni board. He is also said to be a member of the elite alumni group Trinity Forever.
I know I'm not as connected to my alma mater as perhaps I should be... but what the heck is Trinity Forever?

I am not sure if PP92 was serious when he referred to it as an elite alumni group or not. I know Paul personally and I believe he a does keep up with several other alum around his class year for social get togethers and supporting Trinity activities. The may light heartedly refer to themselves as Trinity Forever but I am 99% sure it is not an "official" body of alumni.

As I mentioned before, I know Paul personally and I don't think you will find a more professional prosecutor in the state.
As to other comments on this thread, it said he assigned himself to this case. To the best of my knowledge, Paul is assigned by others, he does not have the authority to assign himself to specific cases. Also, I believe the kids charged are all under 18 so wouldn't this have been assigned to the Crimes Against Children Division of the Presecutor's office? I don't believe Paul is part of that Division. This all is not making sense.

^ Just the opposite I believe. Isn't he the head of the Juvenile Crimes division? If so, then every case that came through the division would, at some level, be subject to his review. It may be that he not so much "put himself on the case" as it came to him in his capacity as head of the division.

I'm just passing along info being put on public pages on the Internet. I was hoping someone on BGP would be able to clarify the many things I keep seeing about this case. I don't know that it is an 'official' body of alumni I just know that I read he was a part of that group.

This makes a lot more sense now. The info PP92 passed along sounded almost too crazy to be true.

Jefferson County Attorney Mike O'Connell has announced today that the office is going to push for a change to the state law regarding the confidentiality of certain juvenile court records. No telling what that actually means.

Yes they were and Will Frey had a pretty good season as well. They took the website down and I can't tell you by memory just how good of a season he was having. I believe he made an Under Armor All American team or All Star team or invited to try out for it. Don't quote me on that since the website was removed I can't fact check what I read.
There is also a rumor going around that Trinity dismissed them from the school. I repeat that is a rumor. I haven't been able to confirm that.

That's interesting. Especially since technically she outed all of their names correct? I don't blame her for doing so in her particular situation but at the same time all juveniles do and should have the right to confidentiality. I wouldn't want my kids business in the street whether my kid was in the wrong or if my kid was the victim.
