There is no set fine. If a team or if Cov Cath wants to play a game. Call the league President or come to a meeting. It is youth sports, communication is the solution.

Unfortunately I did not make this story up. You can contact the Taylor Mill Eagles or CovCath Youth organization to get confirmation.

    Someone is dodging the question.

    "There is no set fine."

"It's youth sports, communication is the solution. "

Communicating what the repurcussions are for playing covcath to your member teams might be the first big step in communicating.

    This sounds like a debacle.

A team can not schedule an opponent that takes players from organizations inside the Nkyfl.
There is no set fine. You can be fined or suspensions can happen.

So does the FTJFL not allow anyone into their league from outside Fort Thomas any longer then? Because they used to regularly have kids from all over Campbell County, and generally a handful from Kenton County playing on their teams.

So it depends on how friendly you are with the powers that be that determines your fine/suspension.

    Got it!

    What a joke.

Nkyfl is territory based for 60 years.
Start a new program talk to the people who represent the 60 years. If you don't come talk to them and you do not want to follow guidelines. Then you are free to play anywhere you choose. Just like the Nkyfl can choose who to schedule or not schedule.
If Cov Cath wants to play teams in the Nkyfl then join the league.
    There is no $1,000 fine.
So then Cov Cath is not prohibited from having a team in the NKYFL any longer?

For years, Boone County Pee Wee football took players from Kenton County, and there never seemed to be a problem when those teams scrimmaged NKYFL teams. And I know that happened, as had kids play in both organizations. Heck, NKYFL teams have taken players from each other probably since the dawn of the league. If taking players from other were against the rules, NKYFL teams would only play 2 or 3 games a year. I forgot, there's the "waiver process" that makes that ok.

It's interesting that @JDOMAX and @Footballforever74 liked my post. They seem to be the two NKYFL advocates in this thread, yet they acknowledge that the NKYFL is failing due to the success of CCH's youth program. Seems like something different needs to be done on the part of NKYFL.

Is Beechwood being boycotted too because they compete with the Spartans or is your "League" just singling out Covington Catholic? @JDOMAX and @Footballforever74

Cov Cath is NOT why teams are folding. Although, maybe, just maybe parents see it as a better option. Much like parents moving their kids to middle school football instead of them playing in the senior division. Kids are leaving for a reason. If there are better options, people are going to take them. Years of "daddy ball", adult egos, win at all costs and lots of other problems are starting to catch up to the NKYFL. Fining teams for playing Cov Cath isn't going to prevent or fix any of those problems.

The Spartans are the feeder program for Beechwood. They work in conjunction, not against Beechwood.
