I'm a big fan of sending snipers in and slowly taking them out one by one.

Maybe hold a convention for ISIS members and take them all out at one time!

Yes, ISIS is a threat! No matter who the president is, it was going to happen, as well as its was going to happen even it republicans held the Whitehouse the past 14 years. We live in a totally different time, and we aren't going back to the way it was for at least a very long time.

So, we MUST stop bickering back and forth with Democrats against Republicans, and Republicans against Democrats. This garbage between us is NOT helping.

But why do some think it's ok to mock someone's religion? If we know that some Muslims will get violent if people have images of Mohammad, they why tempt them? All it is going to do it provoke them and cause serious injury, death and damage! All to get them to expose themselves? If we know they will cause harm and death over images of him, why tempt them?

PLUS, if people do this, they are playing right into the hands of ISIS! They will point to the images and the outrage by non-Muslims to show mainstream Muslims that non-Muslims are. It tolerant of all religions. ISIS wants this! They will use images of Mohammad to recruit more people as well as to show that non-Muslims hate their religion. It's a lose lose situation.

But, ISIS is a real threat. It may not be them, but people who ISIS are attempting to reach out to, and the images only makes it easier for ISIS to get these people.

People in the U.S. Have no clue about being vigilant and what really security is.

    Two reasons:

    A) Because, P.M. Chamberlain, history has shown that's a bad way to combat fascist-types whose rigid ideology is both intractable and violent.

    B) As I noted in the other thread, at least for me anyway, the sanctimoniousness of religion leaves it wide open to lampooning, especially in a country built upon freedom of speech and expression.

For me, the ratings go like this:
    1. God
    2. Freedom of Speech
Not top 10. The 9,384,568 different stripes of religion practiced in the world, all of whom are convinced the rest are burning in the hellfire for eternity, and they're willing to hasten those heatherens' trip, God's Will Be Done.

I think we would be stupid to think this is not possible. I don't carry a gun myself, but I am happy to know that there are are responsible people that do. I think our forefathers knew what they were talking about.

Do you think they anticipated what gun technology would advance to?

I sure get why supporters of both would prefer the spotlight not be focused on them.

For those that think this just a Chicken Little "Sky is falling" thread...it seems as if the Pentagon is taking it seriously.

Pentagon Puts Military Bases on Alert - ABC News

Pentagon Puts Military Bases on Alert

    Nov. 7

The Pentagon today put all military installations in the United States on alert after learning about a "credible but not specific threat" of a possible attack against a domestic base.
A senior Pentagon official said the threat of attack did not focus on specific dates and added no particular military installations were targeted.
But, the official said, news of the threat came "from a variety of intelligence sources. It's enough to give us concern … there is more than the normal sense of imminence. There was enough in our judgment to warrant a general warning to domestic military installations."
Most U.S. military bases were on a "Threat Condition Charlie" alert, which includes increased ID checks and vehicle inspection, among other protective measures of visitors to the installations. Read what military commanders said in July about base security.
The Pentagon's general warning is the latest issued by government officials in wake of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks. Last week, Attorney General John Ashcroft issued a warning of additional terror attacks against the United States over a 72-hour period after, sources told ABCNEWS, intelligence officials intercepted calls made by suspected terrorist groups. The calls, which emanated from Afghanistan, referred to an upcoming "big event."
