I have a question about this Public/Private stuff?

Why are schools crying that the Private schools have an unfair advantage because they can pull kids from anywhere but they aren't after the Public schools with open enrollment that can do the same thing?

I also wonder why they aren't after the schools that get a slew of kids from bordering states?

I don't know of any school that gets a slew of kids from another state unless T and X do and I still doubt it is a slew.

I said in another thread this isn't an issue in NKY at all simply because Ohio football and their programs are so good.

If this split ever happens Male and Manual, IMHO, would start racking up championships. It won't take long before Prop 20 sponsors like Sears at Meade Co. to go after open enrollment public schools too. Then we could have three different football playoffs; Open Enrollment Championships, Private School Championships, and Public School Championships.

Any of them. I know you meant that as a smart comment but I'm talking about any schools. I was thinking more along the lines of Belfry and all the comments on here toward the kids they get from WV. I'm sure there are kids from OH+WV that get recruited just as hard as kids from KY. Why is there nobody putting any stop to that?

We could put up razor wire around each district. That should keep 'em in/out....depending on the case.

I would venture to say that it's because the people complaining aren't getting beat by these teams on a regular basis. They are specifically targeting three school, IMO. Whether they state it or not.

I believe it was guru who brought up socialism....since capitalism seems to be such an issue in Kentucky sports. ALL MUST BE EQUAL!

In the case of getting kids from other states they are getting beat on a regular basis. I do agree that they are after 3 maybe 4 schools though.

KHSAA at it's best. Instead of addressing why we are the only state to play no division basketball and baseball, let's blame it on public versus private. If the state had three or four divisions in sports these problems would resolve themselves.
