Default Gang rape of an 11 year old in Texas

"supporters of the men accused of sexually assaulting an 11-year-old girl blamed the alleged victim for her own gang rape."

WHAT? How could an 11 year old girl be responsible for year own rape?

Things like this are why I"m for the expansion of the death penalty. How could an 11 year old be at fault for being raped? The deepest circles of Hell are reserved for men and women like this IMO.

I would like to know their reasoning on why it was the 11 year olds fault. Do they think she told all 18 of them it was okay to have sex with her? Then they are stupid enough to take videos of what they were doing on their cell phones, a good thing, as now the police are using those videos to find who was involved, and they say there could be about 28 or more total. I can't find the link now

Not excusing them, but I could see where some of the younger guys involved getting caught up in the moment or being encouraged to join in.

Quanell X, leader of the New Black Panthers is also blaming the 11 year old, as well as saying other races were involved in raping her. How can he even think of playing the race card? There is video of what happened, I am sure it would be easy to see if others were involved!

BUT, we now have elected officials saying "She was raped because she was dressed like a 21 yr old prostitute." FLA rep Kathleen Passidomo should be voted out of office NOW! I can't see how or why she would even say such a thing!

    NYT article.

    http://www.nytimes.com/2011/03/09/us...t.html?_r=2&hp

Residents in the neighborhood where the abandoned trailer stands — known as the Quarters — said the victim had been visiting various friends there for months. They said she dressed older than her age, wearing makeup and fashions more appropriate to a woman in her 20s. She would hang out with teenage boys at a playground, some said.

“Where was her mother? What was her mother thinking?” said Ms. Harrison, one of a handful of neighbors who would speak on the record. “How can you have an 11-year-old child missing down in the Quarters?”

If you made me bet the mother probably isn't winning an award.

    Doesn't matter.

    100% irrelevant.

The fact that more than one person is trying to rationalize it on behalf the criminals is one more sad commentary on our society.

As what was mentioned in at least one article I read "With that kind of thinking, then where were the mothers of the people who raped the 11 year old?" But this has nothing to do with where someone's mother was!

I just think these people are only upset that their family member, friend or someone else close to them in some way is charged with rape of an 11 year old! As I said before I am sure she just didn't tell them all she was okay with it! 18 people, and hearing up to 28 or more total guys raped her, and not one of those people didn't think that it may not be the best thing to do.

This is the reason that sex offenders are segregated from the general population in prisons. There are even those taboo issues among criminals.

Agreed. I think it happens a lot more often too, yet the charges in this case are so egregious it's making national news. Especially in the case of rape you always here things like "she shouldn't have had so much to drink," "she shouldn't have been dressing like that," "she shouldn't have invited him in if that's not what she wanted."

Someone else on BGP mentioned in a thread about Japan, and their "culture of shame". Can Japan bottle that up and export to the US?

Each one of those animals needs to be put into a locked room filled with the victim's relatives, an assortment of baseball bats, some good stout broomsticks and a well balanced hammer.

Many of our country's problems could be drastically reduced if castration was a viable option. Survival of the fittest no longer applies to the human race.

As being a family member of a victim of rape, personally I think the sex offender should be released to the victims family and nothing else be said about it. Sex offenders don't deserve to go to prison to have a roof over their head and be fed three meals a day.

The offender did get caught but we had his plea hearing the other day. He plead guilty to all charges, but explain to me how armed robbery gets him more years in prison than the rape charge itself.

We do not have a justice system anymore.

About the only offenders that I could say have some excuse (although it's a very, very small one) are the middle schoolers that said were arrested who MAY have been cajoled into participating by the older animals. They should only get life. The adult animals should get life as soulmate of Bubba.
