    THE LAWYERS

C'mon we all know this one will be headed to the courts and when it is all said and done, the lawyers will make a bundle.

I think the Independent schools systems will also be winners. Male may come out in this one too.

May? I would be willing to put money on Bobby being one of the people who has proposed this to some of these ADs.

Might be a big reason Male and Manual endorsed this is the fact they will come out smelling like roses if this goes through.

They will dominate all the "minor sports."

As far as the lawyers, I can already hear the clearing of several politicians throats in Louisville getting ready to chime in on this.

I know the private schools have a few well-connected "friends."

When in a situation like this, there is no reason not to call in the "friends."

Jefferson County has a very large Catholic population. The polititians in this county had better not let them do this to our kids.

Does this include Highlands? Could you please explain how HHS would come out a "winner" in this if the issue passes?

The only way Highlands wins is if they can get this passed before the CovCath game.

If you are on the fence on where you want to go to school (NCC or HHS) and NCC is out of all athletics the best choice is HHS.

They would stand to get many of the NCC kids, and with no CovCath standing in the way in districts, they walk deep into the playoffs. No LexCath awaiting down state either. Problem will be who do you think the next target of the well meaning administrators will be, after Highlands beats their brains in for a few years??

"I propose that no school who accepts transfer students from outside their district.......................................... .."!!

That is true this year, but historically it wouldn't have made much of a difference.

Plus, having Cov. Cath. suceed in the late 80's and 1990's was a benefit to Highlands by setting the bar higher than it had been previously.

I hope this doesn't pass for any number of reasons, but the Cov. Cath. / Highlands rivalry among the big ones.

I don't think Highlands gains much (Lex. Cath. hasn't been an issue and as I said I think having a top notch rival like Cov. Cath is more positive than negative), but I do think your right as far as after going after the privates that public school districts that accept tuition students from outside their district are next.

Clearly Male and Manual will be the big winners in the "public" school division. I feel sorry for the other "public" schools that think they will be able to compete with Male and Manual's "attraction" capabilities.
