Hearing it is MUCH worse for Price than reading it. He really comes across poorly.

    Comes across as a whiner.

I just listened to it. He came off as an idiot. What does he think a reporter's job is?

I was thinking the exact same thing @Clyde. Sounds like a big baby. It's making your job harder. Please.

Imagine what he'd be like if he really had to deal with tough media. Cincy media is the minor leagues compared to a lot of cities.

He used the greatest word in the American language 77 times in under 6 minutes. He should get an award for that.

Does anyone else find it a little funny that Price complains about reporters publishing all the info he gives them, and then they publish this report on his tirade?

I can only imagine what tomorrow's tirade will be like.

He fits this team perfectly... Mentally weak.

No. They don't work for the Reds. Their job is to report the news about the team. If they get a scoop on a roster move in advance it is their job to report it. Print media is a dying medium as it is now. If reporters start cheerleading for their home town team and hold back information it will just hasten its demise. Someone out there will be glad to report it.

Price is not cut out to be a big league manager. He wouldn't last a week in Boston, New York or Philadelphia.

No, he shouldn't be suspended for speaking his mind and cussing. He should, however, be fired for being a crappy manager.

Hometown reporters do that all of the time depending on how much they like the people in charge.

Like I said, print is a dying medium. If they want to act like home town reporters they'll just speed up the process. From what I've seen everyone is trying to be the one to break a story. Give me a couple of examples from this decade of hometown reporters holding on to a story to benefit the team...I'd love to hear them.
