What can a student-athlete do in the summer to help their scholarship chances?
Is there a way you can draw a little extra attention to yourself this time of year?

Many ways...
1) Several college coaches - most, in fact - actively recruit during the summer. You can therefore often get a hold of them via telephone or email. Get onto the respective school's website to obtain their contact information.
2) If you are a select soccer, baseball or softball player, try to play in as many tournaments as possible, especially those that have a reputation for many college coaches attending.
3) Showcases - check them out and consider attending. Just make sure they are legitimate by asking how many college coaches typically attend and which ones. If someone wants $300 for a showcase and there are only 5 college coaches present, I would NOT recommend it.
4) Continually improve your strength and speed.
5) Tell as many college coaches about you as possible. If you don't do it, and your high school/club coaches don't have that many resources available to do it, and you are not a client of mine, WHO is going to do it? YOU MUST DO IT!!
6) If you will be starting your senior year of high school, schedule as mnay college visits as possible right now.

It's my job, but I am not about to give the ranch away. I send information on a regular basis to over 4,000 college coaches across various sports. You can get many email addresses off their respective college websites.
Send me an email at tom.greco@fuse.net and let me know specifically what you are looking for. I will help as best I can.
