    ...with 23 of the 25 playing in college...

    *4 DI
    *7 DII
    *5 DIII
    *6 NAIA
    * 1 JuCo

    The right combination of ability, geographic flexibility and GRADES usually does it.

    Let's start asking some tough college recruiting questions.

    Let's Make it 26 out of 26!!

    In September, an NKU student called me, and said that he did not make the baseball team as a walk-on. He was really dead-set on playing baseball in college, and his summer coach confirmed that the boy had substantial ability (he was a Cincinnati kid). I asked the boy if he would be willing to travel, and he said "anywhere to play baseball while getting a good education." I contacted a bunch of college coaches on his behalf, and 4 were interested in having him transfer mid-year so that he could play in the spring. 2 were in Iowa, 1 in Oklahoma and another in Tennessee.

    I am happy to report that he will be attending college and playing baseball in Iowa.

    Moral of the story...
    1) It may not be too late
    2) Keep your options open...by division of college and geography!
