    College Football Recruiting

Found some information on the manual football site that may be interesting to players as the season begins. The organization is a little confusing, but it looks like some good stuff.

Look for the tab that says NCAA recruiting

I just noticed the recruiting information moved to under the Booster Info tab. It seems the website changes everytime I visit.

Still good information from my perspective.

Apparently the information has been removed from the Manual football site.

I attended a seminar by rivals.com and they had a speaker named Joe Hornback. He's a former player, coach, recruiter, teacher. His book, "The Next Level - A Prep's Guide to College Recruiting" (Aventine Press) was available. It's an easy read with a lot of great information. I recommend it to anyone who even THINKS their kid might get recruited. It should be a mandatory read for all athletes. He gave a great talk, too!

On your recommendation, I ordered this book and read it. I have to say I was impressed. You always hear, "You have to do this", "You don't have to do this", and I have had trouble disguishing what is correct information and what is just opinion.

I have searched for information on what you need to do to be recruited and I have to say that most of the information is basically the same, but some throws you off.

I have to say that this book is a great tool. It tells you what you need to do from your freshman year through the day that you report to college. Thanks for your recommendation DMZ.
