You may be right, you may be wrong. That is the thing you can't present it as truth as you tried to claim. You just like I have zero idea or proof to show how interested or not they were. So at the end of the day it's just a nice excuse for people to use for why UCF won, when in reality you have no idea either.

What conspiracy theory. Some of you all seem to claim like you know they weren't interested. So I will say the same thing you said to me, based on what? So it's ok for you all to claim that they weren't interested like you all know, but if someone else claims otherwise you want proof? Ha ok then. I forgot it only works one way.

Um, probably because, as you've noted, Auburn beat both teams in the Championship game. So they felt like they could/should be there. Then they are "rewarded" by playing UCF? Who? It takes minimal effort to understand why Auburn would be less than "up" to play UCF.

What's your reasoning for why they would be excited about playing UCF?

Hey I don't disagree there. I just find it funny that some of your all's argument against them is saying well obviously Auburn wasn't interested. Then what prompted me on this one, was someone saying if they beat LSU then LSU must not have been interested either. I'm claiming you nor me has any idea how interested or how hard Auburn or now LSU will play. What we do know is UCF did beat Auburn last year, we will see this year with LSU.

Some of you all have your mind made up though. If LSU wins, it is well that shows UCF wasn't that good. If UCF wins people will just say well LSU must not have been interested. If that is the case one again, then we should say that about every single team that loses in a bowl game every year, besides the teams in the playoffs.

I'm sure my fellow UK fans won't want to hear well Penn State must not have been interested if UK wins. Since Penn State had National Title hopes entering this season. So we might as well say that for every loser in a bowl game, that they must not have been interested.

It's easy for UCF to solve. Build your schedule so you don't have to hang your hat on the ONE meaningful win you had the entire season. You'll never get respect that way, and shouldn't.

I gave my reasoning in post above. At the end of the day football players and coaches are competitive people. Those Auburn coaches would have been pushing and working the Auburn players hard for 3 weeks of practice. So for players getting to finally play a game would have them very interested and ready to play.

I fully admit maybe they wouldn't be interested. All I am saying is you have zero idea how interested or not they were. Just like as you said to me I can't prove they were either. So as another poster tried to say it is the truth like it is fact, that is not true. An opinion is not truth at all.

Once again I am not arguing that and agree with you there. They definitely should build their schedule. I also never said I thought they would have beat either Georgia or Bama. All I said was I see their point in why they declared themselves Champs last year, because the way it worked out. Which is why I don't think they would declare themselves Champs this year. Unlike last year they have nothing to even try to base their claim on this year. When you were the only undefeated team last year, and beat the team that beat both Teams who were in the Championship. Yeah they did have a point to make with that. This year not so much.

But you said your opinion was truth too, so, I'm not sure what angle you're trying to take...

“The most prepared team will win.” This quote applies pretty well to the UCF/ Auburn game last year. No doubt when Auburn players got out on the field that they played hard, but did they put in the work for the month leading up to the game? Did they spend the extra time watching film? Did they spend that half hour after practice on the Jugs machine? I’m sure on Gameday the Auburn players were ready to go and played hard, but we all know that winning a football game is more than just the game itself.

Oh I know I did, and it worked exactly like I intended. If he was going to present his opinion as truth, then I am showing how it could work the other way then. Which prompted your response, and led to this. At the end of the day you and him can't act like you all know for sure that they were not interested, and I admit I can't act like I know they were.

So they beat a team that also wasn't in the running for a National Championship, and that makes them National Champions... No person using any logic comes to that conclusion. They wanted to be cute by crowning themselves, it backfired. Instead of figuring out how to hang signs in their stadium, they should have been working on their schedule.

Your entire argument has been trying to prove that Auburn was in fact interested.

Very good points? Do you know they weren't well prepared? Do you know they weren't interested? Unless you are a coach or a player on that team, you nor I really know that answer. So you all can't present it as a fact like you all know they weren't interested or prepared.

Yes it was, and you proved my point with your whole based on what comment. Because I can't prove they were. Just like you all can't prove they weren't interested. So thank you for that! Shows it is just an opinion, just like your all's was only an opinion and can't be presented as truth.

I fully admit that they would have zero point this year in crowning themselves champs if they beat LSU. They have zero to base it on this year, and I wouldn't see any point they would have.
