Only 3 weeks after his team completely quit on him. I bet they try to bring Lane home.

Should have been fired over the sexual assault scandal.

Who gets the job? Lane Kiffin has to be a viable option as much bad blood as there has been. Scott Frost from UCF? Chad Morris from SMU?

UT wants a quick fix and Lane will offer that. Will he be there for the long haul, who knows. UT has to fix the mess quickly though.

I’m still surprised that this didn’t happen after they lost to South Carolina.

If I was Mullen I'd be crawling on my hands and knees to Gainseville if they offered, I think he's too smart to go to UT. Even though I think the UT job is a very very good job, I think Mullen can do better.

    Both are better than MSU.

UT fans always think Gruden is coming to Knoxville, but after that dream is crushed AGAIN, there are some good coaches out there available.
As mentioned earlier, Mullen should be high on the list and the article above also mentions Scott Frost and Tee Martin. Mt personal choice would be Lions Offensive Coordinator Jim Bob Cooter.

Neil Brown at Troy will be moving up in a few weeks, UT would be lucky yo get him but I think UT will try to aim at a bigger name than Brown. Mike Norvell mentioned in the article has done a remarkable job at Memphis and would IMO be a great hire for the Vols.

It will be interesting to see if they try to woo Bobby Petrino again as well.
