You do know that both USC and Oklahoma (the two teams in the NC) were both undefeated going into the NC as well?

I would hate to see it, but no way they would get in over a Big 10 or SEC undefeated team, and USC has an advantage because they started the season ranked so high.
Basically what has already been said is the key. UL needs to win out and win out big. And then they need some help.

If the BCS is the be all end all we are all striving for then the rest should be moot along with the USC title.
I guess we can now have the Peoples Champion, Intercontinental Champion, TV Champion and so on.
- Oct 10, 06, 04:59 PM #24This isn't just anyone. The Associated Press has the weight of all print and broadcast media in the country behind their poll when it proclaims a split champion. If enough of the writers picked up frequently by the AP declare a split champion, then through what outlet is the NCAA going to get out the message that the winner of their computer-generated matchup is the one, true champion? Just another reason I believe the BCS system to be pointless and irrelevant.

I would say after that season, if undefeated Michigan would be favored by 5 1/2 or so.

Against that high powered no 1 ranked offense in the nation.....???? Im a Michigan fan, but I would have to think that the UL offfense would be the talk of the town..... How is Michigan going to stop the UL O..? We know they are strong against the run and rightfully acknowledged, however, have they seen the likes of a UL offense this year????

Florida will lose November 25.
This is not the date of the SEC championship game.

BCS Rankings is what they go buy. If Texas ends up second they shouldn't play against the Buckeyes. The Cards are 3rd and undefeated they should play OSU. The same for Michigan if they beat OSU. 1966 we finished 3rd behind nd and Michigan. We were 10-0 and beat number 4 Nebraska in the Orange bowl. Both nd and MSU finished 9-0-1.
With the Cards losing their running back and Quarterback and to finish undefeated says a lot for their team. Imagine if the Buckeyes lost those type of players or any team for that matter. The Mountaineer game should be one of the biggest in the history of the Cards program. The next few weeks are going to be fun and I hope they do well. Bama has won 12 National Championships and believe me each one is precious.

Yes Alabama Larry, they don't give em away.!!!!!! UL has a tough road to hold as does everybody else....... Just Win...... If one can be realistic at this point, I woud say that if UL goes undefeated, they will not be in the NC if there are two other teams in the same position such as, Mich, OSU, FLA, USC .....

It's a shame Bush had to go down, who knows what kind of season he could have had.
- Oct 11, 06, 09:53 AM #38It's slowed them down so much that their still #1 in the nation in offense?
