I was really pulling for Morgan Newton to win it. Oh well...

Most deserving winner in Heisman history IMO.
RG3 meant more to his team than anyone, including Luck. You take him off that Baylor team and well they are Baylor. Seriously though, without Griffin they are a 3-5 win team, he single handily made them relevant all the while not being surrounded by as much talent as all the other guys. Guy is a heck of a football player and competitive and I've never been happier for a Heisman winner, well deserved.

Seems like a really good dude. Great for him and the University of Baylor.

Man I told you all about 3 years ago that he was going to be the real deal. Only more long-tenured RGIII supporters are his family/friends and Art Briles. Love that he won the Heisman. I could only make a case for Mathieu as to being a better player this year.

Burn me if you want, I knew it was coming but for the first time in a long time it was about more than just a popularity contest. Usually if your teams not in the top 5-10 you have no chance. Baylor had 3 losses, none of that should matter and tonight it didn't, the most deserving guy won.
In a normal year Richardson or Mathieu would have won for playing on a better team, or Luck because he is the most hyped and likely #1 NFL pick. Despite the past the voters got it right tonight and IMO RG3 is the most deserving ever for what he has done on the field. I've watched 5-6 Baylor games this year (unlike most people I'm sure) and what he means to that team you cannot question. Led two or three major comebacks (15+ deficits, 20+ in a couple of those games) and almost single handily won games Baylor should have lost. Guy is the real deal and very, very deserving. Didn't think he could win, especially a couple weeks ago but I have wanted him to be the guy for a couple months now, glad he was.

Wins the south region over Richardson, the way he handles himself should be an example for any student athlete! I loved the superman socks with the cape!

The South vote really surprised me. Thought Richardson would win that one easily.

He may not have ended as one of the best QB prospects ever, but he is a first round pick and maybe the #2 QB on the board. RGIII and Luck are going to be stud NFL QBs IMO. Griffin will take a little longer to develop though, he won't have the instant success Luck will have or Newton, Dalton etc had.

I couldn't believe it. But then I looked at Richardson's numbers and they are not on par with many other previous Heisman RBs. He really needed about 300-400 more yards and a few more TDs. That means alot to voters. They really couldn't have went wrong with any of the 5 candidates IMO.
