Lamar would have played WR at OSU, just like he will in the NFL. JT did lead his team on a National Championship run, if that counts for anything?

He's still the best athlete in college. He's gonna be good as we all know. If anything slows him down it will be playing not to get injured. He's 9 months away from getting paid and on a team with no title shot. I wonder if he will even play in a bowl game. Long way off though.

I'd put money on Sam Darnold.

Lamar is a hell of a college football player though. I agree that his future is at WR in the league, but I wouldn't be shocked if he won it again this year. His biggest hurdle is the talent-level on his team. Can't win it again by losing multiple games IMO.

Best athlete I'll give you that. But best QB, eh. I'm not sold on him being a better passer this year than he was last year which he will have to be in order to even get back to NY much less take home the trophy again.

Darnold is where the majority of the money is coming in at this point.

Lamar = Torrance Gibson at OSU W/o the suspension.

Yup, pretty spot on, both from the same area.

I see you don't plan on having a serious conversation, so I'll just go back to ignoring your opinion on the matter.

    Worried.

We saw flashes of that guy in 2015 against Michigan and ND to end the year, but even then it wasn't the same. I just don't understand why you are trying to argue a point that clearly is invalid. JT had a fairly decent first half of the year last year and he had some good huge games coming up where if he performed really well in those games he might backdoor his way into a Heisman. I supported my guy as the one who could backdoor the trophy, but it could have been any number of different guys. Nobody stepped up to take the trophy away from Lamar even though it appeared he was trying to give it away. But back to the main point, JT is the QB for my team so obviously I'm going to support him on the field and I hope Ryan Day and Kevin Wilson get it figured out this year. But I and a lot of OSU fans are not nearly as high on JT as we have been in years past. We are very optimistic for his potential with new coordinators.
That's my point. You OSU fans trying to put down Jackson on how good of a qb he is or not after winning a Heisman. We're just two years ago talking even crazier about how great Barrett is and all the great things he can do running and passing blah, blah. When the guy didn't even finish the season or get to play in the three biggest games to see how he would do.

I got blasted by saying you all were lucky he got hurt because I don't believe you all win the title with him. Which is more supported now after these last two years. Yet still you all were absolutely crazy about him. Yet now you try to tell UL fans um well Jackson is good but maybe not great even after winning a Heisman.

Put it this way Deuce was right. If you all had Jackson and he played qb and looked as electrifying as he did, while also having a chance to play for a title with all that talent around him. You all would have been talking him up as the best thing ever. So Deuce comment about of you all had him you would be drooling over him is spot on lol.

I do respect that you at least admit your love for OSU creates a big bias in how you see things. 😁

Im not putting down Jackson the first 10 games of the year last year. He was lights out. The last 3 games he was garbage. The cause of that is a multitude of things, his o line sucks, his receivers aren't nearly as talented as they need to be, but the biggest thing IMO is Jackson, when forced to throw in the pocket, was mediocre at best. Do I think he is the guy we saw the last 3 games? No. He's better than that, but I don't think you can rely on him being anywhere near the player he was the first 10 games of the year. UofL will be a good team. I have them around 10-2. They lose to FSU, knock off Clemson, and drop a game they probably shouldn't to someone else along the way. Their schedule is super easy outside of FSU and Clemson. I just don't see Jackson progressing off of last year. I think he regresses to just being a really good QB with electric playmaking abilities, not the most dynamic player in the nation like he was the first 10 games last year. Now back to JT, you can keep putting words in my mouth and we can debate 2014 all day long, but it's not going to get us anywhere. I've said numerous times that the JT we saw the past 2 years will not be able to cut it for OSU this year. I'll take 2014 JT and the rest of the OSU roster up against anyone this year though. We'll just have to wait and see.
