Just got off the phone with a very reliable source who said the offensive coordinator for a certain Big Ten school just had his phone blown up with texts from one Mr. Pike. Word I am getting is he wants to go there bad. Thats all I can share at this time.

I'm still curious as to what eligibility he would have due to him signing a LOI with AU. I think he would lose a year.

Man you are quick VOR.
I have also heard that Daddy is trying to get him in at Ga Tech as well but a friend said that their coach is a formal Naval officer and probably wont put up with any crap. They also run the option which means he wouldnt play QB.
Any outlaw programs out there?

Isn't Mike Leach at a Pac-10 school? I would think Pike would fit in nicely there.

He might fit in with Leach, but I have a feeling, wherever he winds up (if he is done at Auburn) will be at least somewhat close to home.

He was going to classes at Auburn. Has to lose a year unless he gets a waiver...

I heard he could still end up back at Auburn. Why would he go to Purdue they have a Freshman QB that was one of the elite 11.

AU has a soph as a likely starter. Not unusual to have depth at QB.

According to my source he is working out with his father at their gym and probably going back to Auburn.

From what I've read it appears that it was because Dyer had an unregistered gun. Just a case of where the kid had so much talent but decided to waste it.

Dyer was pulled over for speeding. Officer saw a gun and weed in the car. Only wrote the ticket for speeding. Now he's under investigation for his handling of the incident. He knew who Dyer was because he lectured him about screwing up his future.

Back to Pike....Purdue is no longer an option according to my source. They had commitments to 2 other QB's and it was too big a risk. They loved his talent but didnt want to lose the 2 other QB's as well as take the gamble. Apparently though U of L may now be in the mix according to my U of L contact.
