I am excited about the future of UL football.
It misses guys here and there on an individual basis, but it's a decent indicator of what a program on the whole may be capable of over time. It's not a coincidence that the last five national champions had average recruiting class rankings of five or better in the four years prior to their titles.

Any idea on what that does to Jackson, if anything?

Lot's to be excited about at U of L.

I think a lot of folks are hoping that Pass will redshirt, in order to put another year between he and Jackson. No idea if that's likely to happen.

Now you guys may understand how it feels to be a UK fan in the SEC. As well as UK's class panned out, it still finished 12th out of 14 overall in the SEC. Both teams are on the up and up in terms of recruiting, but they both still have a long way to go to compete in their respective conferences.

I'm not typing this to throw any jabs at UL, just trying to put things into perspective for everyone. It's hard to make a major impact in a power5 conference when you have to go up against perennial powers year after year to get your recruits, not to mention other up and comers.

UK fans have been proclaiming that for years, to deaf ears by most. Now that UL is in the ACC, they are figuring out that it is in fact true. Lets hope these two in state schools can continue to progress in their recruiting and work their way up the ladder in their respected conferences. I'll toast a beer to that, cheers.
