It sort of sounds like that’s what your alluding to by saying Tua should have won.

I clearly stated in my first post that I don't have a problem with Kyler winning, he had a fantastic season. Just because I would have voted for Tua doesn't mean Kyler isn't deserving.

@TheDeuce being labeled an SEC homer.

But by using criteria such as Tua not playing in 4th quarters it sounds to me like you’re delegitimizing Kyler thus making him less deserving than Tua.

To be fair I don’t think JA was talking about anyone on BGP but rather the actual heisman voters.

They aren't mutually exclusive. I guess I'll spell it out for you... Kyler deserved the Heisman, Tua deserved it more, IMO.

They can’t both deserve it by definition though. There is only 1 trophy so by definition only 1 can be deserving of the award. I know it’s semantics at this point, but I just feel like being stubborn on this point.

I can see you want to be difficult, so I'll just bow out.

I just don’t think I’m the one being difficult. I’m the only one being logical about this

They're all deserving; there are almost 1000 Heisman voters. Most are homers or school affiliated in some form or another. What you deem as important may not be the same as the other voter. The general consensus among the voters that came out publicly before the Championship games is that they were waiting on that weekend to vote. So then it's easy to conclude that Kyler won because he played better on that weekend. Doesn't seem fair though when one team plays the number 4 team with a top 15 defense while the other two play.....well you know

I'm not sure that the 870 Media members with ballots are homers, or affiliated with a school in any way, but they certainly would fall prey to geographical biases. That is why they are broken into 6 regions of the country (145 from each area), along with the 58 living winners who get a vote. Murray won 5 of the 6 regions, with Tagovailoa winning the Southeast (not surprisingly), although it was closer than I'd have thought. I also thought it was telling that Haskins came in 3rd in the Midwest, the area of the country that would be the most Big 10 friendly.

40 voters left Tua off their ballot altogether. 27 left Kyler off altogether as well. These people should not vote at all for the Heisman trophy.
