Things are really bad down in Lex. Not a Joker or Sanders fan. Gonna get worse.

Not a shock with the decision. I thought Smith did a solid job last season. It is not easy coming in as a Freshman and contributing, especially on UK's squad. What is Morgan Newton up to these days?

The bolded is what I mentioned in another thread where several commentors in Matt Jones's show said has to be fixed first. People always say UK needs to get that big name coach but their argument was once a big name coach sees UK's facilities, they will take their name out of the running.

Could be. I was wondering more for UK's sake. Has high school footbal in this state ever produced the individual quality football players at the number it is producing now? Trinity has four, maybe five legitimate D-1 players alone on their roster and there are many other littered throughout the state. Even Channing Fugate left the state to play D-1 football at a rival school to UK. At least UL is reigning in some of that talent but the best kids of Ky don't want to play for UK. Back in the 90's there were Ky kids all over the roster and while the success mirrored what it is now you could almost count on the best high school football players of this state to go to UK. Now, UK can't even get an in home visit to the best kids of Ky.

The thing is everyone is complaining about Joker, saying how it will stay this way because the decision makers are not serious about taking that next step. Yet the majority of people at least on this site were in complete agreement with giving Joker the job. I got completely torn up on here for suggesting UK was not making a good choice by just giving him the job. It is not just the decision makers, the majority of UK fans accept being just average at best and thinking going to music city bowls is the best they can hope for. Its hard to only complain about the decision makers, when the majority of fans seem to be fine with just making a bowl game and thinking thats the best UK can ever do.

I for one was happy with going to Music City Bowls. Sure beat nothing and it sure beats where we are today. I think I just understand the fact that we are Kentucky trying to compete against Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, Tennessee and now Mizzou plus an SEC West that has been VERY good the last couple years.

Towles is only 4th because Whitlow will be used in the Wildcat.
