Sounds like he failed a 2nd drug test which is automatic suspension. Word is his advisers have been looking for a new school for this season.

I'm surprised a school like LSU suspends players for a 2nd drug test

Hmmmmm it makes sense to me, who wouldn't rather get high instead of being successful on the field, a rolemodel for young athletes and eventually a millionaire in the NFL.

From some of the LSU boards that I've been reading it appears that this was his 3rd failed drug test.

I think it was his 3rd which means he can't transfer anywhere. What a selfish stupid thing!!! Talk about really letting yourself and your teammates down! Will never understand why you put ALL that work in to do something that dumb over and over. I'm bummed. He was the single most player I couldn't wait to watch this year! Honey Badger should have given a darn!

If he needs a Manager, Ricky Williams' manager has just the right kind of experience.

.......is Louisville still looking for players? ZP needs a roommate.

The story I read said that if he is ineligible at LSU he is ineligible at any FBS or FCS school this season.

Was it an NCAA Drug Test or LSU Drug test?

Two completely different things. If it was an LSU Drug test then he could potentiall transfer, assuming he's academically eligible.

If Tyrann Mathieu became ineligible bc of a 3rd failed drug test, he will not be able to play this yr at another NCAA school.

Hats off to LSU for cutting his strings. There are a lot of programs that would have tried to work something out, appeals, etc.
Tremendous talent, half a brain, it's not the first time an elite athlete has done this.
AND, he will still eventually get his payday, more in a year than most of us earn in a lifetime....

He'll look great as another type of Tiger. Can someone get Cronin this guy's number?

4chs i agree he is amazing to watch!! Very stupid on his part. Could cost him millions was a favorite for the hiesman and dont forget about the rest of the team. Really hurts LSU chances of even winning SEC west.

Schools like LSU and Alabama and some others don't need guys like this. Sure it's a loss, he was a talented guy, but they're loaded with talent. This won't ruin their season.
