Bugatti, that first night TV schedule is interesting, even if it's not great. I like that right off the bat at 10pm on ESPN we get to see what Mike Leach is up to in his new job.

Yep. Sort of random with the opening game at Vandy. Plus it is a conference opener. Tough place for South Carolina to go with such high aspirations.

4 more weeks, it's bitter sweet to think about only because it means summers end is closing in as well, but the fact that it'll be football season makes it ok for this guy.

    Got this email today...

    Welcome to August!

It’s hard to believe, but we are now in the final month before the 2012 football season! BIG EAST media days just concluded, USF announced an exciting new broadcasting partnership with Tampa Bay’s first FM all-sports radio station, 98.7 The Fan last Thursday, and tomorrow the team will head to Vero Beach for training camp. Fan Appreciation Day is set for August 19th at 2:00 PM at Raymond James Stadium.

Anticipation for the 2012 season is high. Season ticket sales are up, and we expect a further surge in season ticket commitments in the next few weeks.

Much of the anticipation centers on the visit of the Florida State Seminoles on September 29th. Earlier this year, you renewed your season tickets by our renewal deadline, earning the opportunity to request up to four additional tickets for that game. Thank you so much for your continued support of the Bulls through the purchase of season tickets.

Here are the details related to the availability of and process for requesting and purchasing, tickets to the FSU game:

    1. Between 9:00 AM on Friday, August 10 and 5:00 PM on Monday, August 13 you will have the opportunity to request additional tickets.

    2. To request additional tickets, first login to your on-line ticket account using your account ID and password.

    3. Once you have logged in to your ticket account, you may submit your request by clicking on the FSU pre-sale offer listed under the “Exclusive Offers and Requests” section (located on the left hand side of your account manager homepage) and follow the steps to complete your ticket request.

    4. You will be notified if you received tickets on Tuesday, September 4 and if you do receive tickets, your credit card will be charged automatically at that time.

    5. Tickets will be shipped to you approximately 7-10 days prior to the game on September 29th. All applicable Bulls Club annual contributions must be current in order to receive tickets.

    6. All tickets to this game will be priced at $53 per ticket (including service charge).

    7. If demand exceeds supply, tickets will be awarded based on the Athletics Department’s priority point system. Seat location will also be based on the priority point system.

    8. Please note that this opportunity to purchase additional tickets is subject to availability following our season ticket sales initiative at the end of August.
Finally, please know how much of a difference you can make by referring friends to us who do not yet have season tickets. The only way for a new Bulls fan to be guaranteed lower bowl seats for the Florida State game is to purchase season tickets. Now is the time for every Bulls fan to stand up and represent the Green & Gold.

If you have questions, or would like to provide some season ticket referrals, please feel free to call our sales staff at 1-800-GoBulls.

Thank you again for your support. We look forward to a great 2012 season!

    GO BULLS!

    Colin Hargis
    Assistant Athletics Director, Ticket Operations

Friday, I put in my request for my 4 extra FSU tickets. Rumor is that any remaining seats, after the FSU allotment and season ticket sales, have been sold to the season ticket holders. I'm low on the totem pole, as far as priority points go, so I may not get any extra seats.

Article from TBO - FSU at USF: Hot ticket!

What follows is one of my favorite memories of the game in 09, at FSU. We were sitting right in front of the Herd of Thunder Marching Band. What a great day.

^ Whew. Bad memories... Ron Cooper's 1-10 season... but, I do still enjoy the fact that our only win that season was against an Illinois team so bad they ended up 0-11.

I wish I had highlights of the rest of this game. It was pretty rowdy.

    12 Days to go!!

Cumberland College "Indians" highlights from 2000, when they were still the Indians. The highlights don't start until 40 seconds in, but they're pretty good.
