Only two ACC teams. B1G leads the way with seven.

Per Brett McMurphy, all but two national champs since 2004 were ranked in the top seven in this poll.

I think it's safe to say that trend continues this year.

There are 4 tiers of top 25 teams.
    Tier 1: Alabama and Clemson
    Tier 2: Georgia
Tier 3: Oklahoma, Ohio State, LSU
    Tier 4: Everyone else.

Personally I’d swap Alabama and Clemson. I don’t think enough is being made of some of the losses Clemson is sustaining on defense but it’s clear they are the top 2 teams. If I was forced to rank them I’d have Oregon at 7. Move Michigan out of top 10, and rank the other good Texas team at 10 instead of the Longhorns.

Going to be attending, what is right now, a top 25 matchup at Spectrum Stadium on September 14th. Anyone have some Stanford gear I can borrow?

I've got plenty... But mine has birds, not trees.

The rich stay rich, College Football bores me with the lack of parity at the top.

What would make college football better in your opinion?

A 16 team playoff meaning that many more schools would "matter" and eventually the talent would spread out some.

Additionally, I think college football players should only have to stay one year like college basketball players.

Do those two things and college football would change for the better immediately.

The first is a pretty widely held belief. I don’t believe a 16 team playoff would spread out the talent more though. The best players are still going to go to the same schools. Players go to Alabama, Clemson, Ohio State, etc. The second, I’ll be honest, makes very little sense to me. How many freshmen are able to make the leap to the NFL after college? At best 1 a year? I’m curious how one guy being allowed to go to the NFL after one year would make the sport better? If Trevor Lawrence was playing in the NFL right now would college football be better off?

I feel like the final poll is gonna look dramatically different.

In short because I am busy, a lot of players coming into college with real NFL potential don't want to be forced to stay three years. Therefore I believe it is more likely they will choose schools where they are almost assured of immediate playing time. The bottom line is the talent will spread out some.

On the other hand, if you have to stay in college three years and you have real NFL potential you are probably better off going to one of the few mega power NFL farm club college teams.
