"Just for kicks" Lets say Alabama goes 0-4

    But they have played
    Notre Dame
    Ohio State
    USC
    Texas

Would they be anywhere in the top 10?

Or if Thomas More played those 4 and lost by a total of 21 points, should they be ranked in the top 10 in Division III?

Just because certain programs play cupcakes to pad their stats, doesn’t mean they are better teams if they have better record.

I'll answer the real question and the implied question in one single post:

No, because the gap between #1 Alabama and #15 TCU isn't nearly as wide as the gap between Trinity and #15 North Hardin, or #11 Daviess County, or #7 Simon Kenton.

Texas loss is a deal breaker.
