UK/ Mississippi State Updates
MSU up 14-4 13:30 to go. Cats with terrible shot selection.

Unlike Vandy, who waited into the second half before doing anything, MSU has jumped all over Kentucky early. That is where their true test will come from. It's one thing to respond to a counterpunch, it's another to get jacked in the jaw right away.
And right now, they're not responding to that test very well. The three previous losses by MSU, which were unconscionable, may have lulled UK somewhat and lit a fire underneath the Bulldogs.

Well, they've played about as bad of an eight minute stretch as they possibly could. Just need to calm down and hit some shots.

^ They will be fine. Let the emotion die down some. Get some stops.

Kentucky will not be this flat all game. I still say UK wins by 8.

Does Jones have money on this game or something?

You might want to consider guarding Bost.

I still think UK can win but they are playing scared an letting the emotion of this game get to them. If they would calm down they do better IMO.

"This is good for my team" Coach Cal.

They're certainly capable of it, but honestly, they need to feel this. I'm not going to do that whole "need to lose" spin, but certainly they needed to get punched in the mouth in a road environment in order to learn how to fight back, or bare minimum realize they're not invincible. I certainly hope they come back, but they have to settle down and make better decisions, and that's hard for a young team in a very hostile environment.

At halftime Jones should pack up his gym bag and head back to Lexington. This is not his game.

Reminiscent of Mighty Mouse's dethroning of the Cats in '09-'10 season.
