My buddy just said the following:

"Diallo is basically Archie Goodwin, but can jump higher. Problem is, we really didn't have other options when we had Archie. Our best play was often just let him be Archie. We have other options on this team and can't let Diallo just be Diallo."

Can't say I really disagree wit that.

If this team gets everyone healthy, Diallo will see his minutes cut. Come crunch time I don't see him playing over Quade, Shai, Knox or Vanderbilt

The charge is ruining college basketball. They call it way too often in just about every game. Officiating in general is ruining college basketball, games have no flow and are often boring to watch. Espn has scheduled games on two hour intervals for decades. Seems like it used to be that unless there was overtime the games almost never overlapped. Now days, if you team is scheduled to be the second game, you almost have to assume that you'll miss the first 5 to 7 minutes, waiting for the previous game to end. To me that is mainly due to officiating and the obscene number of fouls that are called these days.

UK still needs to concentrate on getting better defensively. If they improve their defensive effort 25% and work on doing the little things better, such as FT shooting, blocking out and eliminating careless turnovers, they can make a run in the NCAA Tourney. They have offensive deficiencies, but in my opinion, but those can be overcome if they improve in these areas that they can control.

Refs need to stop rewarding flop charging fouls. SC got away with several of those last night. Guys falling backwards with not even a thread of the offensive player’s jersey touching them.

UK doesn’t get rewarded that way mainly because this team rarely takes a charge. They allow too many easy drives to the basket imo.
But I hate flops that get rewarded with a foul on the offense.

I can't imagine any casual fan stuck around to watch that game. It was hard to watch.

No kidding. The more NBA I watch the less college basketball I can stomach. I'd just finished watching the TWolves game (debacle in its own right) before watching UK. The games are so different.

Like we knew from the start this team has some serious flaws. If they get healthy they are still a top 15 team and Cal is pretty good a getting his team playing it's best around tournament time. It was a pretty brutal loss.

Very much so, I've probably only watched about 75% of the UK games this year and other teams as well. It's just bad basketball as a whole.

Can College refs call a technical foul on an obviously fake flop? There was one play later in the UK game where the UK player came to a complete stop; I'm not sure if he even made contact at all with the South Carolina player; took a step back and the South Carolina player flopped like he had been run over. No call on the play.

Kentucky is working their way into having to win the SEC Tournament, not good, I dont think they do that.
