I liked what I saw out of Vanderbilt tonight. He was a little rusty but still looked good imo. Looking forward to seeing his progress the rest of the season.

Knox doesn’t want to take over. But we all know he will be a star in 2 years in Sacramento.

Calipari is one of the best coaches of all time. He will have them ready in March.

Once Vanderbilt gets some more games under his belt. I would like to see them use a small lineup more consistening of

    Guard Alexander
    Guard Green
    Forward Vanderbilt
    Forward Knox
    Forward Gabriel

Play 2/3 on defense. Offensively they could spread the floor then with 4 guys who can shoot outside. Allow Vanderbilt to be more of a point forward, and Knox could go down low more and then pop outside still. Then you have Diallo who and Washington who could rotate in. Especially since they usually don't get much from the two centers anyways. Go smaller.

It would be nice if Baker could have made it back this year.

Seems like a team that REALLY needs a bunch of guys to stick at least another year.

Terrible FT shooting down the stretch. Too many live-ball turnovers and charges.
Too much zone defense but I guess the foul trouble dictated that.

Big picture, it's the 4th road game in 5 games and they're shorthanded. Vanderbilt showed flashes and great play-making ability. I'm still looking forward to this team at full strength.

Going in imo most of us knew that this one was going to be a back alley fight. That's how SC plays and they certainly whipped the Cats physically and there was little answer to it. I think that SC intimidated U.K. with the physical play. This U.K. team has to get tougher, when SC pushed the Cats around, our guys let them. Foul trouble for both teams, U.K. playing shorthanded a couple of players got hurt the most by it. Even at that, when you're up 14 w/ 10min. to play then you should win.
As for the playing the game ...U.K. had 16 turnovers, got out rebounded by 5 and gave up 14 offensive rebounds, missed 13 FT's, and with all that were leading by 14pts. with 11 min. to play. Then were outscored by 22 the rest of the way and went the last 6 min. of the game w/o making a FG. South Carolina's Silva/ #30 owned the Cats inside w / 27pts.
Bottom line is that SC came out and beat the Cats up physically, out toughed U.K. and U.K.'s kids didn't respond. A good thing is that Vanderbilt is now playing, that should really help.
My pick to win the SEC, Florida is up on sat. night, BIG GAME !

Well, players have to be better and simply not foul. That said, one thing that makes college basketball tough to watch is the offensive fouls and overall charge/block madness. A whistle doesn’t always have to be blown.
