Matt Jones said yesterday he heard UK finished 4th. Elite HS kids and I guess elite transfers continue to be an issue for whatever reason. I’m still shocked Barbee and Justice are on the staff. My guess is and I saw this with my coach, Cal doesn’t have the energy/motivation to start over with new coaches.

Ridiculous. Sestina is considered the #2 transfer this year. Travis was an elite transfer last year. This year's UK class is ranked #2 in the nation. Last year's class was #2 in the nation. 2017 was #2 in the nation. 2016 was #2 in the nation. 2015 was #1 in the nation.

Which NBA team drafted Travis again? Which player did Cal win a title with again, our last final 4 was with which #1 pick again, four years ago? All that maters is banners at UK. We don’t want you all to let us accept mediocrity again.

Blackshear is a major miss, he chose to play against us twice, maybe 3 teams with an SEC tourney.

Don’t let me interrupt your Nate Sestina excitement though.

Was Travis considered a great transfer pickup last year?

What are you going to say if Blackshear doesn't get drafted next year? It could happen. He is only a mid 2nd round projection as of now.

We aren't talking titles. Don't try to save face. You said UK wasn't bringing in elite talent. The info I posted above makes that statement look farcical.

He probably won't reply. He has been trying to make this argument for the last 2 years. Each time I show him how his argument is wrong. Like how Cal has also won and made final fours and made even title games without what JA says are elite players. JA suddenly never replies to that, because the facts go against his opinion. Or like how Cal has coached up kids who weren't even considered to be one and done guys, and they end up lottery picks.

Not to mention the only team who has had better recruiting classes than UK the last 4 years in Duke hasn't even made the final four either since the last time UK made it. In fact Cal and UK have came closer to making it back to the final four than the best coach ever in coach K who has gotten the guys JA wants.

2017 and 2019 now both teams definitely were legit title contenders. It is simply a hard tournament to win. 2017 lost on a buzzer beater in elite 8 and 2019 lost in overtime in elite 8. Both games one bounce a way from winning.

JA big thing is Coach Cal can't win without basically number overall pick talent. Yet I have shown him how that is not true either. He never replies back to that though, because it goes against the narrative he keeps trying to write.

You think Blackshere spurns UK and now gets drafted after next season when he didn't after this one?

@futurecoach...I hear you. I have read his posts and have responded like you. This Coach Cal argument he keeps making reminds me of the bears in the stock market. They have been yelling for 5 years and longer that it is over, and this market just keeps going. Then when the market finally tanks, they will be bragging about how they were right. They will hope you forget they have been horribly wrong for the last 5 years.

Isn't JA an OSU fan also? That seems very ironic to me.

Here we go with the “Cal doesn’t get elite talent” nonsense again.

Makes ya think he would've been good enough to make it at Pikeville or Georgetown then.

So since it seems Cal might be the best coach ever (since he's able to win 35 games every year with inferior talent??); is there any news on the Dante visit; seems like crickets all weekend?

Basically it doesn’t matter how many top 2 recruiting classes, or how many top 20 recruits he gets because J.A. is determining after the fact that they aren’t elite based on draft position and if a title has been won. It’s ridiculous.

8 banners in 81 years and 5 in the past 77 years. Glad I am not that miserable fan that expects one every year.
