Ohio State 80 Michigan State 64

After tailing 5-0 the Buckeyes seem to understand this was a big time game and they understood that it was time to start playing. And that they did in the tone of a 16 point blowout win over number one in the nation, Michigan State.

I never thought this team would win ten games this year, let along beat the #1 team in the nation or any other ranked team.

More to come on just another upset in the Big Ten.

MTGL do you stand by your post in the pre season that if Holtman gets to 20 wins that he should be coach of the year? It certainly appears like he is going to exceed that and are well on there way to be a tourney team.

Keita Bates-Diop/Norman, Illinois had a career high 32 points to go with 7 rebounds and 3 steals. C.J. Jackson/Charlotte, NC had 14 points and 6 assist, but left the game very late do to an unnamed injury.

Miles Bridges/ Flint, Michigan and Joshua Langford/ Huntsville, Alabama each had 17 for Michigan State.

Ohio State connected on 52.5% of their shots from the field, while the Spartans only converted 39 of their shots.

This game was playing when we were getting a bite to eat yesterday, there was an obnoxious OSU fan there. I rooted hard for Mich St. to come back and win.

An obnoxious OSU basketball fan is an endangered species.

Heck yes. He, and they, have been very impressive this year. Bates-Diop and Jackson have been great, without a doubt.

I think at this point, if they aren't a tourney team, things will have gone horribly wrong from this point forward.

If the Buckeyes can win at Northwestern next week, they could run off a LOT of wins before going to Purdue on 2/7.
