UCLA's resume is not very good. That is why they are projected a #3 seed in most brackets.
Crazy that they are ranked #3 in the country, but won't be a #1 or #2 seed.

I've seen top 25 teams (AP or coach's poll) not make the tournament before. Those rankings mean very little to the committee.

You guys are crazy if you've got Carolina as the 4th 1 seed. Yes, if they win the ACC tourney they are more than deserving of the overall #1 based on their resume alone.

I figured that with road wins at Kentucky and Arizona that UCLA would have a good resume but evidently not. Plus they lost to top 10 Oregon on a last second 3 pointer at Oregon.

    1. Kansas
    2. Gonzaga
    3. Villanova
    4. UNC

    Thoughts??
    I think you're spot on!
Of course you would expect one or more losses by these four, if that happens I think UCLA or Kentucky could hit the one line.

If Kansas wins the Big 12 tourney they will get the overall #1 seed. They have a couple of OOC games against the same teams. Kansas lost to Indiana 103-99 in an overtime game in Hawaii and beat Kentucky 79-63 at Rupp. UNC on the other hand lost to Indiana 76-67 at Indiana and also lost to Kentucky 103-100 in Vegas. Throw in the Kansas win over Duke on a neutral floor and I think their resume trumps UNC's.

If both win out I will agree. If Kansas loses I think UNC gets it, should they win out

Even at that point it would be a tough call, but UNC would have an argument since they would be playing well at the right time. I'm not sure how much emphasis the committee puts on that though. For arguments sake Kansas would still have one less conference loss and two less losses overall and it's not like they have played a weak schedule. Don't forget about Nova either, they have the highest RPI of anyone right now. They will likely win their conference championship so they would also be in the discussion of teams ahead of UNC.

I haven't paid much attention to Nova. But I don't think in any form Carolina is the last 1 seed especially behind Gonzaga.

They're certainly not the last, but I can't really think of a reason where they would get the #1 overall either as mentioned earlier. Honestly it wouldn't surprise me if Gonzaga loses in their conference tourney which should knock them out of a 1 seed all together. As is, I would give them the #4, UNC the #3, Nova at #2, and Kansas getting the #1 overall. It's all a moot point though since there really is no such thing as a #1 overall since they place the #1 seeds (as well as most other seeds) in regions that are close to home to increase ticket sales.

That's true too. Although seeding purposes aren't for ticket sales according to the NCAA

Anyone that believes that is kidding themselves. It's all about ticket sales and tv revenue.

North Carolina does, no chance Duke gets a one seed and Louisville would have to win the ACC tourney and have a lot of other things go their way to have any shot at at 1.

I've always thought that and I enjoyed hearing Cronin say it

No doubt, I'm glad he spoke up about it.
