Lee had another year of eligibility. He redshirted a year. I don't think you can add the fifth year by transferring. 5 to play 4.

Both players are in their fifth year and have only played 3.

Not in all cases. He has not discussed his Fancy Farm picnic escapades from this summer. Nor has his press buddies and partners in indulgences. It'll come out sooner than later. Probably before the KHSAA investigates some of the high schools in the state and renders a decision. wink-wink...ta-hee-ta-hee!

They get the 5th moniker instead of SR or JR because they have already graduated.
They could have played another year at their previous school, but instead chose to transfer, if I understand correctly.

I'm confused are we hating on Matt because he was right, or because we don't like that he was right?

He's an Indiana guy. UK blue is not on his color wheel.

You have to wonder if they still feel that way.

I'm sure they probably do. Stretches the ACC market quite a bit I'd think.

This was a marriage of necessity. I won't pretend it was anything else. They wanted better football and we wanted a higher profile.

They could've gone for WVU or UConn or UC or anyone else at certain points, but they didn't. We both got what we wanted.

But tell your friend to save some of the camembert and a bottle of Pinot Noir for me at the next Duke-Wake Forest gathering.

...and in any case, I'm not going to be lectured on high society by any league that includes Florida State.

I agree that McGee didn't need help and I really have no idea if anyone higher up knew or was involved. That said what did McGee get out of it?

U of L was a better academic for that WVU, no? Football is similar, better basketball product obviously.

UConn is similar basketball wise but not nearly the football program.

Jones seems to have an insider at UL feeding him info.

I will say this makes sense if all you care about is the program and not the kids. I mean if I was advising what is best for the program this is the correct move. Probably every university in America would do the same. But when a program does something like this it's hard to look a parent in the eye and say your kid matters most.

Again so we are clear I'm not saying if I was in leadership I'd do anything different. But the move clearly says Louisville cares more about the brand than the kids wearing the jersey.

Anyone watching Pardon the Interuption, lol?

Anyway, Tony Kornheiser says the 1 year self imposed ban won't be enough for the NCAA. So he has his own plan, a final four of UL, SMU, Syracuse, and UN...errr UK. What a tool. ESPN at it's finest, protect UNC to the fullest extent of their ability, but find a way to throw a jab at Cal and UK in the process lol.
