One of the reasons for the turnaround of this team is the physical defense that the guards are playing. Makes it very difficult for teams to get into their offensive sets. Derek Willis play is making a lot of people come to terms with their talent evaluating ability.

Overall great game by all. I was afraid that these guys may be looking past an obviously bad team to this weekend at the "Phog" / Kansas. Was glad to see that wasn't the case as they came out focused and did what a good team is supposed to do in a game like this. .....went out, took control and made the statement "you can't play with us" early with a 20 pt. run after Mizzou got the first two. U.K. closed things from the opening tip and never allowed Mizzou to believe that they had a shot at an upset.
Cats shoot 52 %, played excellent Defense and controlled the boards. Ulis with 20, I believe that makes it 3 strsight 20 pt. plus games for Ty, not sure. D. Willis again came to play and with 18 and 12, he certainly showed it. I love watching an in state kid excel wearing that "Kentucky" across their chest.
I don't believe that this team is as good as they will be by regular seasons end but imo they are well on their way, really starting to "get it".
Kansas at their place on Sat, in all honesty will probably be too much for a Cats win. Kansas imo has a very good shot at a final four and NC. Playing them in Allen Fieldhouse is to say the least a very tough task, few opponets win there. I am wanting to see our Cats go in there, play hard for 40 minutes, be competitive and if they stay close going in the last 6-8 minutes ..... who knows ?

I'm not sure what caused it. But it seems like Briscoe isn't forcing as many shots. Not sure if it's because Ulis and Mirray are playing so well, Willis is spreading the floor or Briscoe is getting a better feel for the college game.
My understanding was that Briscoe arrived at UK and REALLY hit the weight room hard. It may have been great for him long term but thrown him off a bit early on.

Only thing you can complain about is they didn't score first lol jk.
