When a team rebounds, passes the ball and defends like this one did today …. A lot of Wins are coming. Today was what I call "U.K. Wildcats Basketball". UNC was touted as the best rebounding team anywhere and these U.K. kids just outrebounded the Heels by 10, 43-33.
    K. Johnson had 21 pts. w 7/12 shooting. P.J. Washington and R. Travis were a force inside with their defense and rebounding. A. Hagans imo was the player of the game with the way that he locked up the UNC point guard. 7 steals was one short of a U.K. record. U.K. played hard, with confidence and took the game to UNC from the start to finish. Impressive win over a top 10 team ….. Louisville is up next Sat..

I thought Carolina would win, but I expected UK to play well today...just not well enough to win.

I'm very happy to be wrong with that thought and my poll prediction.

    Ditto.

Didn't get to watch because it didn't record for some reason. Anyone know how or if I can catch a replay?

Always fun seeing the post after wins. UK just beat a top 10 team most thought they would lose to, and had only 22 post now so far. UK losses to Setan Hall and there were 97 post.

Kind of shows imo that more people just like to complain than anything else. Speaking of where is @nikeman49 ? Usually he disappears in late January early February. Not normal to disappear this early.

I’m in the camp that didn’t think they could win this game. I’m very pleased with the effort and results.
Just basing on how UNC beat Gonzaga by 13 and how UK fared vs Seton Hall I picked the Tar Heels by 10. Glad I was wrong.

I really like Hagans’ game. He’s going to be very valuable going forward. The Cats looked like a different team yesterday.

With all that said, though, UNC played a perfect style for UK to succeed. Unfortunately, most future opponents, particularly in the SEC, are going to zone, and zone, and then zone some more.

I picked the Cats to win, but man what a ballgame! That should be the style of basketball UK plays. Relentless!

The few times unc played zone yesterday uk picked them apart. This UK team is one of the few teams Cal has had that will be hard for teams to zone.

Agree. I would love teams to zone UK, especially once Herro gets going and Baker gets even more comfortable.

If Travis and Washington continue with this two man game plus Herro and Johnson hit shots good luck zoning this Cats team come conference play.

Enjoy watching kids play hard and doing the little things to win (Hagans) Herro is most explosive player on team....Ky beat NC at their own game....much better team in transition and Cal needs to take notice....turn these kids loose and let them play....most enjoyable game to watch for me in several years....Cal tried to kill momentum with technical but his players refused to let him ruin game....just let these kids play and stay on the bench

This team still isnt there but once again showed today they are getting better. Still have a lot of room to grow to reach potential. However winning today wasnt really a surprise.
Did you pick them to win?
