Another really good "team" win. Defense was very good, especially the shut down of the Cards big man by P.J. Washington. U.K. won this game in lane. Down low, the Cats dominated inside play on both ends of the court. Washington had 8 reb., Johnson pulled down 7.
Herro scored a career-high 24 pts ( 10 of 13, four 3-pointers), while K. Johnson had 15 and has become imo a leader on this team. Also, with 11 points, three assists and three steals for the Cats, Hagans ran the point well and Cal may have found his point guard with these last two games. Wildcats won their third consecutive and have taken 10 of 12 in one of, if not the best rivalry in basketball.

10-2 and now the SEC season begins next Sat. and that is going to be a very tough road this season with as tough as this conference will be this season.

Good defense, good Herro, and good Hagans. That'll win a lot of games.

Liked how the Cats sort of played two different games against UL & UNC. Didnt go inside much today, and Travis only had 2 FT attempts.

I'm glad UK won so this didn't sound bitter in a loss. But I'd like to repeat what I said in the update thread. That offensive foul on the three point shot might literally be the worst call I've every seen called on any level. That ref should be forced to watch that on a loop for 24 hours before he is allowed to ref again.

Enoch didn't light the stat sheet up but I thought he played well. Travis had a time with him. Cats need PG play to improve a lot effort is there just offense looks like nobody knows where to be half the time.

I saw a lot of bad calls today, but that one was just ridiculous.

Nwora had a follow up dunk that would have made the score 35-31, but he missed, and Kentucky scored six straight to make it 41-29.

That really ended it for Louisville.

Great win for the Cats and BBN. Mad at myself I didn't tape it.

Cats are playing so much harder the last 2 games than they had been a maybe starting to “get it” that the harder you play usually the better you play!! Love watching Hagans grow and improve, he definitely has shown he’s not backing down from anybody!!

I think its easier to play harder or even look like your playing harder. When you start to understand what you are doing more. Effort imo wasnt their problem most of the year. Just not having any idea on how to play defense or help defense. So no one looks like they are playing hard, when cant play defense. When teams execute and do what is asked, it always makes things look better and look like playing harder.

It was worse than the final score. Cats were in control the whole game IMO. They are so much more fluid in everything they do now. Cal always says they are getting better and it's a process every year. Most times I don't see it, but with this team I really do.
