Just How Wide-Open is College Basketball This Season?

Page 2 of It's been mentioned a lot this season about how there isn't a dominant team, or a clear cut favorite. Today, IMO, we got a glimpse into just how wide-o... 23 comments | 1134 Views | Go to page 1 →

20-30 teams capable of a run to the Final Four and 10-12 good enough to win it. Will all depend on how upside down things get the first two days...

I've been shouting 4-5 seed from the rooftops for a while now.

Carolina is looking BAD tonight. They've looked bad the last 3 games. They very well may lose tonight at BC as they are down 6 at the break.

He didn't "collapse" per say, but he did fall. His vertigo hit him and he missed pretty much the entire second half. It has to almost be time for him to retire as much as I enjoy him at Carolina.

Same here. For the first time since I graduated college I'm going to be off for the entire first weekend...I'll either be in St. Louis at some games or in front of numerous TVs with some ice-cold beer. Win-win for me either way.

Disagree on them not putting UK in at all rather than give them a bad seed. Imo it takes UK being flat out bad and best player getting hurt for a committee to not put a UK team in. UK and how well the fans travel bring way to much money to college basketball, and get TV ratings too. So if the committee could justify making UK a 12 seed one year if UK is not that good, then they will do that. The same goes for many top programs. Most top programs will get the benefit of the doubt and will be put in if they are a bubble team.

Without any obvious powerhouse team or teams this season imo any one of around ten or maybe more teams could get on a run and win it all.
