This MAAC game was very good, with the better team digging down deep to get the win. Iona(14-9, 8-3 Conf) ended the three game winning streak that the Quinnipiac Bobcats (9-14, 6-5 Conf) had coming into this one.
Iona shot 48.6% for the game, while the Bobcats ended the night shooting 47.1%. A little higher shooting percentage then most games I have watched, know matter the conference. What killed the Bobcats as much as anything was their 25.8% from the three point line and their 62.5% from the charity stripe.
Lead the Gales with 20 points and 9 boards off of the bench was,Roland Griffin(Aurora, IL) He ended up playing 42 minutes. Rickey McGill(Spring Valley NY) had 17 points, 8 assist and 7 boards.
For the Bobcats,Cameron Young(Los Angeles, CA) had a game high 31, 11 boards, 5 assist and 2 steals.Jacob Rigoni (Adelaide, SA) added 16 points and 8 boards.
