It will save them $1M per year.

I do not believe any coach has turned UF down.

It'll be interesting to see where he eventually lands.

Interesting tidbits about White. He's from Florida, played at Ole Miss, replaced coach Rupp at LaTech and his father is the AD at Duke.

Goodman says UF never reached out to Mack or Archie. Said White was his first choice.

That tells me that Foley isn't serious about basketball.

Don't forget White turned down a couple of big jobs last season in hopes of landing an even bigger job this year. Heck of a coach by most accounts.

Interesting hire. Seems like a good, up and coming coach...but can he win a) in a power conference and b) at a football school?

With the obvious difference that they've both actually won a lot at their current jobs. White has done NOTHING at Louisiana Tech.

By "NOTHING" you mean his team has not won games in the NCAA tournament. Winning your league regular season for 3 consecutive seasons has to count for something. I am not sure how many coaches can say they won at least 27 games in each of their last 3 seasons. Sounds more like the Billy Donovan hire when he was brought to Gainesville. I am not saying he will be good or bad... hell, he may get the axe mid-season, but I can't say he has done "NOTHING".
