Calipari on KSR
I'm listening to KSR and they are broadcasting from West Liberty. Cal was scheduled to call in but instead he showed up in person. He also has agreed to match the first $25,000 in donations to the West Liberty relief fund. He might be a cheater but the guy gets the big picture.

I think this is his third or fourth trip out there since March.

Fans raised $25k. Cal matched it.

He also said a portion of the alumni game proceeds will go to the West Liberty relief effort.

My Aunt and Uncle met him at the airport and took him into West Liberty.

Cousins had sent Cal a signed jersery of his to give out to a deserving athlete. The person chosen I believe was a baseball player that had lost everything. He was thrilled.

Although I believe that other coaches do similar things I would have to believe that Cal is one of the best at getting the big picture and really embracing the community and helping out with everything it has to offer.

I don't care how many banners have been lowered, this guy knows how to connect to the every day Joe.

Personally I don't care what others think of the man. I don't think you could find a better fit for Kentucky basketball.

Without a doubt.

The guy is a Public Relations guru! One hell of a recruiter and a pretty solid BBall Coach. Said it from day one that we landed Coach Cal, but I'm a very big fan of him as a ambassador to UK's program and our Commonwealth, but also of the man he seems to be.
