    All Elite Wrestling

All Elite Wrestling or AEW. Up and coming wrestling company that looks to give WWE a run for their money. AEW is doing what apparently WWE can not do and that's sign top rated talent. Talent such as Chris Jericho, The Young Bucks, Hangman Page, Chistopher Daniels, Frankie Kazarian, Scorpio Sky (SCU), Strong Hearts (Group from another organization), Britt Baker, Pac (a.k.a Neville), MJF and Brandi Rhodes (who is not only the wife of Cody Rhodes but is also AEW's Chief Brand Officer) the same position held in WWE by Stephanie McMahon.

Former WWE Superstar, Billy Gunn, will act as a producer for AEW.

Another tidbit, It's looking more and more likely that Kenny Omega will sign AEW instead of WWE.

So far it looks to be very promising.

I thought Billy Gunn was really tight with the WWE powers that be.

Any chance this is just the WWE expanding their reach?

They have made a decent splash so far, but it's all going to come down to the TV deal. If they land on TBS or TNT, which has been rumored, this could be big.

If they get something with WGN, or an online outlet, it won't be nearly as significant IMO.

They also announced a PPV in late May in Vegas. Maybe the 26th?

I will give them a watch, but there's only so much wrestling I can take. I can't see myself stopping Smackdown or NXT, but Raw is another thing.

He was, but so was Jericho. These guys are attracted to a promotion that emphasizes wrestling as opposed to sports entertainment.

Plus, there's big money behind them. Co-owner of the Jacksonville Jaguars, Tony Khan, is bankrolling. He reportedly threw in $100 million to launch this thing.

Additionally, WWE has made top dollar offers to Cody Rhodes and the Young Bucks, but the guys rejected. Same thing with Kenny Omega, who was offered a huge deal, but it appears he is going with AEW too.

I think the thing that hurts WWE is they spend more time talking and doing promos than they do actually wrestling and it's usually the same type of match over and over again and again.

I look for AEW (if they get the TV deal that's been rumored) to be on Thursday's nights. I can't see them starting something on a Monday or Tuesday.

Also look for a program between Pac and Hangman Page to be hit right off the bat after that confrontation they had during the double or nothing rally.

The WWE has done a nice job insulating themselves from competition with so many brands.

Thanks for the info but like you mentioned above there is already so much wrestling I think this is going to be a tough sell.

It sounds like the kind of thing where I may stop in for 15 minutes on a flipping channels night.

There was a recent report saying that they were looking at Tuesday since Smackdown goes to Friday starting in the Fall.

Messing with high school football I see.

The WWE is slowly pushing me away with all their mass marketing.

Lot of talk that AEW & Turner have a verbal agreement in place. Unsure whether their weekly program will air on TBS, TNT, TruTV, or something else.

If the Turner deal is true, that's big.
