Reading the 1st book in "The Malazan Book of the Fallen" series, "Gardens of the Moon". Was recommended to me by the bookstore when I asked for something similar to Game of Thrones. Very complex characters and storyline, so far I like it. There are 11 books in the series, so got a long ways to go.

Just started "Dream Team" last night. Really funny line by Larry Bird that I can't repeat on here.

I am completely hooked on the Lincoln Lawyer novels for now. It doesn't at all hurt that I completely assign a certain dreamboat's voice and physical attributes to him.

I finished Hunger Games and now I'm wondering what direction they are going with the second book.

I just finished reading the account of the famous "scrimmage that no one saw." Here's a recently released video recap.

It would have been a fun game to play in or watch.

After years of not reading any books I have ( against my better judgement) started The Hunger Games. Please tell me it's worth my time because I'm a slow reader......lol.

I put it off for a year. I have now read the series several times. It's outstanding, one of my favorites ever!

What's so weird is that I don't read "young adult" stuff. I usually prefer military history, spy novels or the classics (like Great Gatsby & To Kill A Mockingbird)

Am I the only one that will not read a book that deals in alternate universes, future decades, space, vampires?

I'm not saying my style is for everyone (or anyone). I just deal in reality. I'd read a good book on Apple or Google or 1960s baseball before I'd read anything that deals with what I listed previously. I just can't do it.

I picked up a book at the bookstore the other day and it appealed to me UNTIL I saw it was set in 2045. Next.

Read about half of the book last night. So far I think it's pretty good. However I don't keep up with this stuff so a couple of dumb questions. How many books in this series and what are the other titles?

There are 3 books in the series. The 2nd book is called Catching Fire and the 3rd is called Mockingjay.

Thanks. The first book was good enough I'll try to pick up the 2nd one this weekend.
