They need to get a job and move out of moms basement. That probably took forever.

We're toying with the idea of having three of my groomsmen (all very accomplished musicians) play it, but that's still kindof up in the air.
    Tune to drop D.

My father-in-law was an accomplished tenor. He sang our wedding dance song, Lady by Kenny Rodgers, at the reception.

I'm not a big Kenny Rodgers fan but whenever Lady plays ...well, let's just say things go well for me. Upon further review, I am a big Kenny Rodgers fan.

Hope this works! If not, we danced to Kenny Chesney "Me and You"

But I'm a huge fan of this song and would choose it if I had heard it prior to our wedding.

I was so shell shocked I can't tell you what we danced to. It could have been Steady Mobbin' by Ice Cube for all I know.

Like most things, I had no say in it, but I did not care. Was just there for the party!

She danced, I swayed to 'When I see you smile' I remember the song but have not a clue as to who sang it.

I'll go one further. We went to a dance instructor ONE TIME. I went to make my future beloved happy, you know pick your battles. During that one time, I quickly realized that this was going to require a General Patton effort to prevent a return trip. A guy can only take so much.

Would it be this????? From 1989, the group is Bad English, John Waite, former lead singer of the 70's group the Babys, along with former Journey members Neal Schon & Jonathon Cain.

That is it! Bad English made for some bad dancing - out of me anyway!

So with guest RSVP's, we're asking that if the guests are married, that they let us know what song they danced to for the first dance at their wedding. We're gonna make a playlist of those songs and play them during dinner. ...we've got some reeeeeeeeeal winners thus far. Here's the first dance song from my future in-laws' wedding:

(Check out the hair on Crystal Gayle!)

Wow, 2C, I don't know how I overlooked this thread, but it's my wedding day to the tee. Other than I had a brief period as the doors opened of "what in the world am I doing here", then I got back in game focus, and all was perfect. And to this day, my wife is stunning. I, on the other hand, am not.

Thats a good idea colonels. We had a theme song picked out for each person in the
wedding party and played it as we introduced them similar to a starting lineup or walk
up music at the Reds games.
