Page 14 of This is a thread about beer/Wine tasting! Tell what beer/wine you are tasting right now. Tell about how it tastes, not how it makes you feel. I am having a Franzishaner Weissbier. It has a citrus tan orange look with a citrus taste. Not what I would expect from a German Beer. Has a huge head on it when poured into a glass. It has a really good taste to it, on the light side. Not something I would drink as a favorite, but at the same time, I do not dislike it.... 688 comments | 15109 Views | Go to page 1 →

Did you buy it at the winery, or elsewhere?

This time I bought it at their store in the Crestview Hills Town Center. I did recently buy some at their location in Owenton.

Picked up a four pack of Goose Island's Sofie. I will be homebrewing a wheat tomorrow so I figured I would give something similar a try. I remember FKW saying it was pretty good. Belgium Style Ale aged in wine barrels with orange peel. Sounds good...

Had several of these last night. One of my favorite summertime brews.

That is one of the few summer beers I like. Mrs C loves it. Not sure there's anything by Bell's that I don't like though.

Yeah, Bell's (Oberon, Two Hearted, Hopslam, Lager of the Lakes, Third Coast Beer and Third Coast Ale) is freaking awesome. They brew a french blonde that taste very similar to this Goose Island's Sofie obviously without the wine smell / taste that lingers. Thanks for the heads up on that. It is taste and I will be enjoying the other three tomorrow.

I got this app a few weeks ago and love it. Really helps me keep track and remember just exactly what I drank. Especially on those nights when I sample quite a few.

    Well, you suck...

June 17th cannot get here quick enough. Headed to Hilton Head for beach, pool and golf. I love Sea Pines!

Not sure how wide their distribution is but if you happen across some Avondale or Good People Brewing offerings then give them a shot. They are out of Birmingham, AL. I really like Good People's Fatso Imperial Stout and Avondale's Spring Street Saison.

Destin has a nice spirit shop that has a great selection of good brews, there's a good chance they will have those.I may have too bring some back to the Bluegrass...

Bought a sixer of Gösser dunkel last night. Had four of 'em. It's always been one of my personal favorites.
