Default Traffic at Riverbend for Aldean

Hadn't been to Riverbend for a few years until last night and may not go back for awhile. Concert was absolutely fantastic, but getting out of there was beyond an absolute mess, stuck in the parking lot was bad enough, but the wait to get on Kentucky South was even longer, alltogether was an hour and 20 minutes before getting moving on the Interstate. Had to pee,had a headache and was starvin, it pretty much ruined a fantastic concert. Is it normally always like that down there?

My suggestion is to bypass the first parking lot off of 471 and go up to the lot by River Downs.

Yes. If you try to jump on 275 off of Kellogg...you're stuck. Go west and there is another entrance onto 275. It's about 3 miles down the river, but it's quicker.

It's a concert that sold out in about 3 days. What did you expect?

I'll echo Clyde's sentiments, park at River Downs and you're back in KY within 10 minutes.

I did park at River Downs, but didn't head West, thought I would be backtracking big time to get back into Ky. but would have went that way if had to do all over again

I had my first and only accident on 275 East headed to the Blink 182 concert a couple years ago. FYI don't light a cigarette in stop and go traffic. Totally ruined the cigarette and the concert.

I parked in River Downs lot last night. I was out of the lot and across the bridge in no more than 15 minutes. Concert was awesome, btw!

When you pack a lot of people in to one small place...you aren't going to get out in 2-3 minutes. It takes time.

30 minutes in the parking lot, 45 minutes on the highway? Maybe Riverbend needs to be on the other side of the river and things would run better you shouldn't have to park here and there and come up with plans on how to get out. Been to Lowe's Motor Speedway,Bristol,Martinsville with crowds over 100,000 and never had the problems like last night, just another reason to despise Buckeyes

You had to have stayed inside the Pavillion for quite awhile after the concert or helicoptored out

I've been to numerous sold out concerts at Riverbend and never taken more than maybe 20 minutes to get back into KY. Fact is, if you know what you're doing, it takes no time at all to get out. Everyone that goes knows if you turn left, you're stuck in traffic. Turn right and you're home in no time at all. Don't blame Ohio for your mistake.

Are any of those places in the middle of cities the size of Cincinnati?

Large crowds exiting takes time. I went to an Iron Maiden concert a few weeks ago and it took me 30-40 minutes to leave the parking lot. It was to be expected though.

Leaving after Buffett also takes forever, so I learned to pack a few adult beverages and some snacks and just hang out for a little while after the show and always go to the restroom before leaving.

Put a "poison" jug in the car before you leave for the event. They come in very handy.

The cops didn't even let people out of the River Downs exit until at least 30 minutes after the show last night. First time I had ever seen that. Once we got out of the lot and turned right we were home in Edgewood 20 minutes later though

Which exit? There's two, one which you have to wait at, the other that they always let you out right away.

That's what I have been saying, it was 40 minutes before I got out of River Downs, except I turned left(being the dumb Kentuckian that I am) because my exit is less than 5 minutes from Riverbend that way, that's where I got in another 45 minute logjam, oh well more than enough said on the subject. The concert was great.
