I wish I could start reading on it.....my copy, which was supposed to be delivered today, hasn't arrived as of yet.
I was going to knock out a HUGE chunk today and tomorrow cause I've got 10 hours scheduled here at the Norse Desk and I was going to read it then....now I'm stuck surfing the internet.

I won't give away anything away here because even after reading the spoilers I had no idea who any of the characters were anyway.

I've read a few spoilers, even posted one on myspace. Some people can get really mad when its comes to the books.

There was a really funny story when the last book came out at midnight. Since you could obviously download the book early if you wanted to. People took that information, drove down to the bookstores where all the kids were waiting outside for the books to go on sale and they would drive by and shout out who died, spoilers, etc.

I remember seeing some of those videos. Although cruel in telling the plot lines, it was funny hearing the adults yelling obsene words at the cars. I will say that I didn't watch those videos until after I had read the book....I think thats what made it funny for me.

I heard that the book ends and a movie will soon begin. Of course, I've heard that before.

I finished it at about 3:00 AM this morning after starting at about 11:00 AM Saturday. I tried a few times to put it down but kept wondering what happened next so I just decided to go for a marathon reading session. One thing that I have really enjoyed about the books is that they seemed to have matured as The 3 main characters have. The first book was clearly written at a level for older children and teenagers, but as the characters have grown up so has the feel of the books.
I thought it was outstanding and that Rowling did an outstanding job of tying up loose ends.

The review in the Lexington Herald-Leader said it was a "classic" for the ages. I've read the first four books, but haven't read the others. I need to catch up with books 5 and 6 before tackling this one.

I never would have guessed that Harry's great-grandfather was from Missouri and served in the Army, most notably as a surgeon in the Korean War. His name was Sherman.
